Good food, very tasty. Server was very nice but food took quite a while to be served, lots of takeout seemed to slow things down. Asked for the appetizer to come out well before our entrees however this didn’t happen. The entrees arrived less than 5min after the appetizer. We will try another time and hope this evening was a one off experience.

Honestly, so glad we gave this place another shot. We tried them when they first opened a few years ago and the menu felt a bit small and not to our taste, so we kind of fell off going. (Not sure if ownership changed?)
But we saw they started doing a weekend lunch buffet recently and decided to pop in—it is incredible! We moved here from San Francisco and have been seriously missing the Indian food scene there, but this place totally holds its own. The quality is really high and there’s a great selection. Plus, they bring fresh naan out to you cooked-to-order which is a huge plus.
Had a wonderful dining experience here. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for both family dinners and casual outings.
We ordered Tagubotu chicken , mutton roast , and garlic naan—each dish was packed with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. The spices were well-balanced, not overpowering, and the portions were generous.
The service was excellent—polite, attentive, and fast.
One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve tried in the area. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I went to Biryani Pot on NewYears Eve for dinner with my son. I loved it. The staff were attentive, atmosphere pleasant, very quaint. Food was amazing for what we ordered. Everything was fresh & hot brought to us efficiently. I was extremely impressed & recommend you visit & make your own conclusions!! Will go back again & owners were very humble, kind & made it perfect for us. Look forward to another meal there soon 🌈🌈👍👍🤩🤩

Restaurantji Recommends
We’ve been genuinely excited about Biryani Pot opening in the Brentwood area over the past year, especially as vegetarians looking for consistent, ethnic Indian food nearby. We’ve supported the restaurant regularly, including frequent DoorDash orders, and have continued to give it multiple chances through what appear to be several transitions menu changes, pricing shifts, and operational adjustments.
Today, three of us visited for the lunch buffet around 2:00 PM. The staff was friendly and courteous, which we appreciate, and we recognize that running a restaurant particularly an Indian buffet is not easy.
However, the overall value proposition fell short. The total came to roughly $75 post-tip for three people, and for that price, the buffet offering felt quite limited and basic. Several items were cold when we arrived. While the salad, desserts, oranges, lemon rice, and dal makhani were good (the dal being decent and typical), there was little depth or variety beyond that. We were unable to get a second serving of paneer masala, and naan took 15 minutes to arrive by which point we were essentially finished eating.
The restaurant was not very busy, yet it felt understaffed and operationally stretched. Napkins were not readily available, service flow was uneven, and overall coordination felt inefficient. For a buffet experience at this price point, the expectations around responsiveness and organization are naturally higher.
There is clearly a lot of room for improvement. We hope the restaurant reflects carefully on the direction it wants to take with the buffet both in terms of pricing and offerings. Bringing back more dishes, improving food temperature consistency, and tightening service fundamentals would go a long way.
We genuinely want Biryani Pot to succeed and plan to continue giving it chances. That said, with growing competition in the Brentwood and Tri-Delta Valley area, improving quality, cleanliness, and the overall dining experience will be critical. Based on today’s experience, this visit lands at 2 to 2.5 stars, with hope for meaningful improvement ahead.

Has the worst gajar ka halwa here. It was made in biryani oil. I still have trauma thinking about it
Came in on a Sunday for their buffet “19.99” per person. Option included goat biryani, veggie briyani, fish, and several chicken options. Small selection of desserts too. Overall I enjoyed my meal.

I recently visited Biryani Pot, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing, full of authentic flavor, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, especially the biryani, which was aromatic and richly layered.
The service was equally impressive. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make the dining experience enjoyable. They checked in often without being intrusive and offered great recommendations.
The ambiance added even more to the experience. The restaurant has a welcoming, cozy atmosphere that strikes a nice balance between casual and refined. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy your meal, and lose track of time.
Overall, Biryani Pot exceeded my expectations in every way food, service, ambiance, and staff. I highly recommend visiting this place if you’re craving delicious, well-made Indian cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back!
