this place does not have any table or chairs to sit and eat - it’s take out only. came here around noon on a saturday. it had steady foot traffic, but organized and quick for most. we waited about 15 minutes for pineapple buns, which was fine bc they were so fresh and delicious. i don’t remember everything we got but we got a lot of items for a good price, and all of it was good.
will be returning!

Best dim sum in the East Bay.
Tasty buns with generous filling.
Don’t miss the BBQ buns & sesame balls. Weekend exclusive: taro pineapple bun, a must try.

Love their shu mai and har gow. Love how they’re big and satisfying. Really big fan of their fried sesame balls with red beans too. This place quickly became a favorite place of mine.

One may not think a takeout dimsum restaurant in a plaza next to Safeway in Brentwood is worth raving about, but boy are they wrong! This place deserves ALL the praise. The prices are affordable, dimsum items are huge, and the quality is no different if not better than some of the dimsum restaurants I've been to. I don't think there's anything on their menu I have not thoroughly enjoyed. Some honorable mentions include their lava buns, siumai, lotus wrapped sticky rice, shrimp dumplings, pineapple buns, pork buns, and don't sleep in their fragrant chili oil. I always forget to take pictures before I finish the food but look at the size of their chicken XXL bun. This thing is the size of my whole hand! Phone for scale. We don't live close to Brentwood but we find reasons to go out there to visit Dimsum Basket 🥰

Many items on the list were not available until people waited on line and finally ready to order. Was this some kind of strategy 🫣👎

We've been here several times now. Not much 'atmosphere'; it's a take-out asian food place. The food we've ordered so far (and that means most of the dim sum menu) has been darn good. The service is also great.
Be ready to scan the menu and fill out your order card; cards and pencils on a lean-to table near the display.
Plan for few extra minutes on your first visit to learn the system. It's worth it! and the staff is super good about helping you out. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

It was GREAT! The buns were especially fluffy, pretty and the matcha lava bun was exceptionally runny and flavorful. The sticky rice lotus leaf wrap was also a delightful experience. Not to mention, the Hong Kong style milk tea was amazing. I would definitely go back!

Given its first actual dim sum place in brentwood, there is a lot of good reviews about it.

I tried here few times and food is average, if you want real dim sum, maybe san francisco, south bay are better bets. the closest is koi palace in dublin.

The skin of shrimp dumpling is too thick. Pork bun is above average. Shu Mai is below average. I liked their matcha bun. the place is clean, service is fast. but a good dim sum place should be about the best food which is lacking. I still go here because there is no other better option.
