Restaurant is a great event space, but sucks as a buffet-style restaurant

The buffet's time limit is 90 mins, divided by the appetizers and 3 rounds (initiated by filling orders on a phamphlet, none of which were explained to us that we had to manually turn it in at the kitchen window and pick up orders ourselves until the chef gave us a beeper)

We spent almost 30 mins waiting for our inital appetizers, (as if feeling the dissatisfaction or anger of the chef through taste), most of the fried selections are burnt, overcooked, or under-seasoned (how do you overcook Miso soup? The fried oysters were definitely cooked frozen)

Serving staff felt disconnected and standoffish, adding to the ambience of feeling unwelcome (I would understand that there was a private event happening after we left), but the whole vibe of the restaurant that wasn't partitioned off truly feels dated and cheap.

Would probably be better off at the one next door that's serving finger foods, and quick bites than staying for the buffet service.

Seems like the review by John Lie must have been confused, because this is a restaurant on a golf course, not a hotel. My fiance and I are planning our wedding here (Wedgewood Weddings partners with the Nines Restaurant) and every time we come by for a planning meeting we come eat at the Nines Restaurant. In particular we as always hope to see the bartender Jeff; whenever we stop in he gives us superb service, going above and beyond. (Good enough that we specifically requested he bar tend our wedding)

This was easily the worst among the so-called luxury hotels I have stayed in (I have stayed in well over 500 over the past twenty years). There's that tell-tale sign of a poorly managed hotel as I waited a long time before I was checked in. I was initially put in a room so close to the lobby that I could hear the noise. When I asked to be put as far away from the elevators (or the lobby) as possible, I was given a room right next to the staff elevator (!). No apologies. The breakfast was equally atrocious. One morning I was told the wait would be 45 minutes. When I ordered eggs benedict, the dish itself was extremely hot but the food was stone cold (indeed, the spinach was partially frozen). When I asked to have it reheated, it came back at roughly the same temperature. I can go on, but it is not worth the while. It is NOT a luxury hotel, but basically a sub-standard Hilton or Marriott (and, indeed, it is owned by the latter).

Sunday brunch was nothing special. We had hot plates for cold foods and cold plates for hot food. But the hot foods were cold to begin with so it didnt really make a difference. The taste of the food was nothing of note either. I was happy to see lox with bagels and cream cheese until I discovered the very skimpy amount of cream cheese both in quantity and portion size. This coupled with dried out out bagels was a big disappointment. The only thing that was as one would expect was the fresh fruit, and that was picked over and quite a few choices were unripe. Definately not what one would expect from a golf course. The 1/2 hour wait for our check was final insult. Although the staff was courteous and polite there was no making up for the lack luster foods from the steam table.

Perfect spot for a lunch with some great views of the golf course. Just wish they were open more hours.

We have been there for the Liberty High School volleyball and basketball sports banquets. The food was set up and served buffet style which was done efficiently and orderly. Both times there was a nice variety of food and it was fabulous! The serving staff was young and they did a great job. I would definitely recommend it!

The French dip and the zucchini sticks are the way to go.
