I ordered 4 berry custard pastries at 4 PM Saturday. They were already stale, hard and definitely not fluffy. While still edible they were a far cry from a typical French bakery in Paris or even la Chataigne in Lafayette, CA. Their doughnuts and cookies might be better.
They get 5 stars for being inconsiderate and unempathetic business owners. Their pastries are overly sweet, lack flavor, and are overloaded with sugar. I used to visit with my husband, eager to support the new Paris Baguette in Brentwood, hoping for the same great service as their San Jose location. However, the pastries here look stale, and the service is terrible. I don't blame the employees; it's clearly a management issue.

Atmosphere was very beautiful and inviting. Very Paris cafe style and very clean. Food was very good but please do better with the cake slice size. I paid over $7 for a slice and the size was super small. I was shocked when I opened the box. I plan on going again and seeing if maybe it was just maybe by error I received such a tiny slice. Overall, I enjoyed the different varieties of pastries. It is kind of pricey, I did pay almost $50 for two lattes and 4 pastries and one slice...
