Nope. No.

Those are my initial thoughts. My and my mother came by today afterschool to get something to eat. We had come before, long before, like when Rubios was still there. We had taken a break from the place and came back to… whatever the new owners did to it. Everything was changed, including: the taste, the customer service, and literally everything inside. I had once loved Que Onda, absolutely adored the food. But now, it’s safe to say that this place has been downgraded to the lowest point.

I had gotten the Chile Relleno with two tacos, and my mother got a Tortilla soup. The woman who was taking our order was just starting at us. Blank. Even when we were looking at the menu, she was just looking at us. It creeped us out. And when I was giving her my order, she kept on asking me questions while the chef was also giving me questions. It overwhelmed me.

Now, to the food. When I tasted that Chile Relleno, I felt my tastebuds die. It was sour, and no taste at all, and there was no sauce on it? Just some rice and beans slapped beside it. For the two tacos, I was royally slapped in the face when I tasted it. I don’t even want to go into detail. Then, my mother tasted her soup. The same problem. Tasteless. The chicken in her soup was also old and dry like it had been there the whole night.

Needless to say, we won’t be returning again. I’m sad to say this, because I always loved Que Onda. But, these new owners ruined it.

The worst food that I have. The chicken was so old and dry. The spoup has not flavor. The only good thing was the potato taco. So horrible experience. This was one of my favorite food. I will never come back again. I belive it is a new owner. Oh no..

Excellent. Perfect. Amazing. The food was perfectly seasoned and not over-salted, and very fresh. The place was busy when I got there, but service was fast and professional. No frills, no gimmicks. Just really great Burritos, stuffed full.

Ordered from doordash the food was extremely disappointing. Got the enchiladas & burrito. Everything was stale and flavorless, it was all expensive too. Wont be ordering from here again.

I really really wish I could give a good rating for Que Onda, however that wasn't our experience. First of all for quite some time now Que Onda was our go to Taco place here in Brentwood. The quality of the food was always excellent and delicious. Of note was the hand pressed fresh Masa tortillas which really make such a delicious difference. At first there was a very large communication gap with the young girl who was serving us. Then I noticed she grabbed small packaged tortillas to prepare the first dish. I immediately knew something was amiss. When I saw the second preparation I knew things were definitely not the same. Ultimately I could have prepared far better tacos at home with much better store bought tortillas. So sad to have lost our little gem of a taco bar in Brentwood. Que Onda you will be missed.

I can't say enough good things about this place! The service was friendly and efficient, with the staff making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The food was amazing—try the enchiladas with their signature mole sauce, you won’t be disappointed! The ambiance was warm and cozy, with rustic Mexican charm and upbeat music that added to the overall experience. If you're looking for a fun, flavorful dining experience, this is the place to go!

Food is not good. The tortillas fall apart because they’re not cooked all the way. Corn tortillas shouldn’t crumble when you pick them up. The tortilla soup I ordered would have been good but the amount of salt was overboard. Wasn’t worth the $$$ when there’s quite a few taquerias and taco trucks in the area. The only employee at the counter wasn’t very welcoming either. Not sure if it was an off night or if this is routine now. But I won’t be returning.

Ever since the new owners took over nothing is the same...the food does not taste good, it tastes old and like its been reheated numerous times. The tortillas aren't even made correctly anymore, they fall apart when you pick them up🤣. They changed the drinks they used to have, adding cucumber and random stuff in it...not everyone likes cucumber. I will no longer be coming here sadly 🤧 not worth paying $30+ for bad food.

A very nice Mexican restaurant. They make their own tortillas when you order tacos. The service was very friendly and quick. Restaurant is clean and accommodating. Definitely a solid choice for Mexican food.
