I give it two stars only because one out of the four flavors we tried was "ok". The scoops were small and the tables were dirty. Plus, there were flies everywhere. Your better off going to Cold Stone.

Sip and Scoop California in Brentwood is a decent spot for a sweet treat, but it doesn't quite hit a home run. They have a cute setup with both indoor seating and a shaded outdoor patio, which is perfect for a sunny afternoon. It was pretty busy when I went on a Saturday, but the line moved quickly.
One interesting thing about Sip and Scoop is that you get to taste test the ice creams before you order. There's a separate counter for ordering after you make your flavor selections. They offer a wide variety of options beyond just ice cream scoops, including floats, frosties, sundaes, waffles, toast, and even light snacks. It's definitely more than your typical ice cream shop.
The service was friendly and fast. I couldn't quite place one of the flavors, and the staff were happy to let me try it again, which I appreciated. I ended up getting a root beer float with vanilla chocolate chip oat milk ice cream. It was a good portion size, with a generous amount of ice cream in the float itself. However, the ice cream flavor itself was a bit on the mild side. My friend tried the birthday cake and cherry flavors, and they both had a similar lack of punch.
Overall, Sip and Scoop California gets 3 stars from me. It's a fun spot with a good variety of options, but the ice cream flavors themselves could be a bit more vibrant.

Miscommunication on my part about the Over The Top Affogato. Owner came and offered to fix it for free when they obviously did not have to considering it was my mistake. Appreciate it.

I’m editing my review to address the owner’s reply. Vicky, I’m sorry, but you were/are the verbally aggressive one. Your staff got my order wrong twice and they said they’ll fix it (but they were not apologetic as you said - but that’s fine, I wasn’t expecting apologies). I had to wait extra (people that ordered after me got their orders before I did). Of course I was frustrated by all this, but I didn’t yell, say mean words to your staff, or talk down to them (as you make it sound in your reply). Also, they should pay more attention to the “clean” cutlery they have in front for customers - the spoons were dirty (as you noticed yourself). I’m sorry you didn’t like my review, but (from my point of view) the service was one star.

Been a regular customer for a few years and been generally really happy with the service and their ice cream/coffee. But lately things have gone downhill. One week ago my son ordered a banana bread and it was incredibly stale. I can't believe they would serve anyone something this dry. And today we stood around for ten minutes without any of the three employees helping or even acknowledging us. Just a simple "we will be with you shortly" would have been fine, instead we left and decided to get the kiddo a milkshake somewhere else.
No doubt this is a spot to try out! Love having my usual which is the spicy roasted corn avocado toast, but they also have other delicious menu items along with all their flavors of sweet scoops! Definitely will go back and back again.
