This is the best Mexican Food spot within the Brentwood/Oakley area. Nowhere else comes close to here in my opinion. My family and I have been coming here the past year and we love it. They have the best chips and salsa! I recommend the chicken quesadilla or tostada salad. The burritos are also very yummy. Everyone that works here is very friendly and accommodating to anything regarding your order. Great job Taqueria Chapala!

First time here! Place is fairly new, it’s all clean inside the dining area, restrooms and super cute inside but the food does not taste authentic. My husband ordered a super asada burrito to be safe, the carne asada meat was thick and chewy. My daughter ordered a Pozole and myself a Menudo, both were very disappointing. The pozole didn’t taste like pozole, the broth was super thick and even though I asked for little meat they added huge pieces of meat, it didn’t seem to be fresh, like it had been boiled too many times because some of the meat was shredded from being overheated. The menudo, I had asked if it came with grano, the server said it does not but they can add it if I’d like, which I did but when I got my order they forgot to add it in, the girl was really attentive she went back to let them know that it was missing and she came back with a small little salsa bowl that had grano and some pieces of meat that looked like they scooped out of the pozole pot, I can tell cause the meat is obviously different and the side grano came with pieces of shredded meat. Both soup bowls were left almost full, we couldn’t finish or enjoy it. This part is a little personal but we’ve been having a stomachache since we left, food did not sit well. Though service was great and the place was cute the only thing that we really enjoyed was the Horchata, that drink was delicious but the food quality was disappointing.

HOLY CRAP. The chorizo burrito with hash browns is out of this world. I'm a huge chorizo burrito fan and the only other really good ones I've found in town are at a little mom and pop shop, these are the best types of places, and they even are on UBER EATS so I had it delivered with an adorable Mickey pancake and bacon for my daughter!! YUM YUM YUM

Their crispy tacos are delicious hard to find places that offer crispy tacos and the ones that do give a taco bell type shell. Their taco shell is fried and wraps around the meat,I love

I came in hear a few months ago and the food and experience was so bad it wasn't even worth the time it was gonna take to write a review. I had to wait for my car so I tried them again and I'm glad I did.The customer service when I walked in was amazing very friendly and welcoming, server made some small talk brought me coffee and water refills without me even asking ( last time I asked 3 times but the 2 who were working were more focused on their phones and arguing on who was gonna refill my glass)The food was night and day maybe I came in at a bad time or they have someone different in the kitchen but the food was flavorful and hot just perfect and hot the spot. I will definitely be coming back
