Been loving this place since they originally opened in Oakley years ago. The owners are a very friendly family. Amazing high quality food. Extensive vegan options if you have any vegan friends or family. Extremely high quality meats also their carne asada, Pollo, chili Verde, El pastor, all of it!

Honestly this food is SO GOOD. I usually eat at mexican restaurants with the pre-understanding that I will be disappointed, but this place blew away my expectations. The salsa was actually flavored, the horchata was perfect, and the food tasted delicious and was generous. I admired the interior decoration, really drawing in an authentic atmosphere. We went at 6pm on a Thursday night, and the service was quick and attentive. New favorite place on this side of Mt. Diablo. Nosotros volveremos!

The vegan options at Taquiza Limón are solid!! It’s not always easy to find authentic Mexican food that caters to a plant-based diet, but they do a great job. Their potato tacos, nopales (cactus) tacos, and grilled veggie burritos are flavorful and satisfying. The tortillas taste fresh, and they don’t skimp on portions.
I also appreciate that they have vegan-friendly beans and rice—a small but important detail for those avoiding animal products. Their complimentary salsa is fire! Literally spicy and tasty , and everything has that homemade, traditional touch.
If you're vegan or just looking for a lighter, plant-based option, this place is worth checking out. Would love to see even more vegan options in the future!

The food is delicious! I’ve tried all sorts of items on the menu. My absolute favorite(s) are the tamales and enchiladas locas. They truly take care of their customers. My family mentioned it was my birthday and they surprised me with a Chiro and ice cream. They sang happy birthday in English and in Spanish, that totally made my day! The Chiro and ice cream were the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this Mexican restaurant! Thank you Anna and Patty for your amazing service!

I tried to dine in today. I sat down and nobody acknowledged me for over 10 minutes then somebody walked in and they were handed a menu right away, so I walked out. Can’t waste my lunch break without service. And there were three staff waiting tables.
We love this place and they take such great care of us. We love our weekly chilli rellano and enchilada order. Plus the best guacamole ever! The family is kind and the best service. Thank you!

2nd bad food truck online order
1st time ordered quesabirrias and it went through. No birria because someone dropped it. 2nd time forgot one quesabirria and consome but when i went back to ask they acted like it was ok.. gave me anither quesabirria, 5 bucks and told me they had NO CONSOME!!!! Thats what makes the birria.. asked for a full refund and she ignored it and moved on like she didnt understand me... 2/10 will not return.

Prior to their fire, we use to go here every other week or so. Yesterday, we ate there for the first time since it reopened..... Regular Carne Asada burrito and Regular Al Pastor burrito. Both of us thought the food was really bland. No " Mexican " flavors at all. And ... We both had diarrhea about 30 minutes later. Something has definitely changed.
