I’ve eaten at a lot of poke places in the Bay Area and this is one of the best. They make every bowl with love and it’s sooooo yummy.

This was my very first time at Vampire Penguin.... the poke bowl I got was not good. It barely had any spicy tuna it was mostly rice. The staff was very rude and unfriendly. I would not recommend this place.

This particular VP left much to be desired. The store was dirty. The ladies bathroom was out of order so we were told to use the men's which was disgusting. They were out of chocolate snow, chamoy, and condensed milk and one of the more unusual ingredients was something the girl helping us new nothing about so apparently it didn't exist in the store even though it's on the menu. Don't count VP out, just maybe try it somewhere else.

Nice place. Staff was friendly. I wanted the peach milk tea, but they said it was now black tea, so instead I went with mango green tea. Tasty, but not overpowering. Next time I think I'll try a poke bowl. If only they offered t-shirts, I would have bought one! (Hint to the owner/manager)

Walked in and it had a smell to it. I believe it was hotter inside than outside and outside was 86 degrees. Waited for over 15 minutes for someone to take our order. When I ordered a rootbeer float I was informed that they were out of rootbeer. So I ordered a cup of penguin puffers and a waffle cone with 2 scoops of ice cream. About 10 minutes later we recieved our order of penguin puffers but no ice cream... I watched as people ordered their items and recieved their orders before I received my waffle cone with 2 scoops vanilla ice cream.

Strawberry cheese cake shaved ice only came in a large, and tasted like that 6 week old slushie you forgot about in the freezer and tried it before throwing it out, and the ice cream had the texture of refrozen ice cream from where it had melted before. I had also ordered half strawberry and half chocolate ice cream, 1 scoop of each and I got two scoops strawberry. I don't think I'll be coming back. Service was great otherwise.
