I was hoping for positive changes with new ownership. Was in two weeks ago and felt like I was ripped off. Pastrami on wheat? With frozen sweet potato fries $18.95 an 805 $9.00 mixed with the smell of stale cigarettes from the bartender. I have been in hundreds of times over the years and for the past 10 years or so it not been a great time. If you charge those prices then every customer should be wowed. Not disappointed. Is sounds like you need a new manager or a consultant. Clean up your act. I'll give it a year or two before will be in again. I'll be going across the street to the deli with great food and atmosphere.
We booked a room last minute. The room is small, old but clean. However, it is not well insulated (from the cold, noise and light because there is a window above the door which opens onto the corridor which some people who get up in the night forget to turn off).
The bathrooms are clean.
The staff is welcoming and kind despite the cleaning lady who gently knocks at 9 a.m. for cleaning.
We find the price a little high for the service, but this is surely due to the location.

Great location in the centre of town.

Food and drinks: Did not stay there, had dinner with a group. Large portions, high priced, totally ordinary food.

A wonderful historic house that has been lovingly preserved.

So we are just on Priceline trying for a place to sleep for a fair price and end up at the Bridgeport Inn. Historic, 1877! Great restaurant for steak and Prime, nice little bar, and yes, totally, completely haunted. Not just the typical white lady (we saw no sign of her) but a whole lot of tortured souls from bar fights and domestic violence in the past. Bridgeport turns out to have been a very violent and dangerous place in the Western Expansion i.e. colonial period when this Victorian was built. It is not dangerous anymore! It is a safe, lovely tourist and farming town. But things were tough in those bad old days, active genocide, murder, my God. We had dreams, lots of sadness and anger in the past:-(. There are cold spots too. Some of the paranormal activity seems related to the 1940s-ish motel rooms that were obviously added later, but we were so lucky to stay in the old Victorian! Just so beautiful and it was full of fun people. This place is amazing I highly recommend it if you are comfortable with your own psyche or have a strong spiritual foundation. Because you are going to have weird dreams. We were very lucky Priceline put us there, we plan to come back and hang out for longer. I guess I should also say, super nice staff and they can really cook, Pros from front to back of house. Just a great accident for us, we had such a nice short stay.

I recently had a mid-lunch at The Bridgeport Inn and ordered a steak, but unfortunately, it arrived well-done instead of the medium-rare I requested. The sides were also disappointing—there were only fries, a single leaf of romaine lettuce, and a slice of tomato that didn’t look particularly fresh, so I didn’t even try it.
The overall experience felt very basic, and it seemed like the sides were frozen or just not prepared with much care, which might be because it was during lunch service. The water also had an unpleasant taste, which was surprising considering the great water in the area.
I also was obliged to sit at the bar section because they had a service dog with me and they have a restricted area for service dogs, which I think is completely illegal … unfortunately I couldn’t sit in the nice restaurant part.
I didn’t stay at the hotel this time but might consider it on my next visit. Overall, it was a mid-tier experience, but I’m hopeful for a better one next time.

We stayed here for one night as a walk in (no pre booking). It was $129 plus tax. When we got in the room we discovered there was no fridge, no microwave, no coffee making facilities and the most modern thing in the room was the phone, everything else was quite old.The lady at front desk was lovely but thats where the good experience stops. I had hair and a spider in my bed and they were hard beds. If it was $40 a night it would be worth it.
Walkability: Pretty much centre of town. Town only about .5mile long anyway

The room and bathroom were very clean. The lady at the front desk (maybe the owner) was so sweet. I loved my stay at this place.
I only ate at the restaurant and it was meh. Could’ve saved money and made it myself. The food was bland and the server was not attentive.

Typical American place with their flag waving from outside the place.
I had dinner with my son and I had a delicious 16 oz Steak 🥩 ... about half a kilo for us Italians ... very good and a good glass of 🍷 red wine.
Side dish: fried potatoes 🥔... delicious and salad
Very affordable prices.
Tomorrow we will also have breakfast 💪

My room was tiny but clean. The receptionist was very nice. Beware, if you are planning to come after 6 pm, you may sleep outside unless you sooner arrange your check in. But the things I dislike most there are a few violation points that will cost $150 each. The other thing is the restaurant. I got halibut that was very bad or it wasn't a halibut.
