Was traveling from Yosemite towards Lake Tahoe and have a stop over in Bridgeport. Was a great experience at Rhino’s - bar owner, staff and locals are all super friendly. Food was great and beer was cold. A lot of great stories about the town and life in general.

Cheers,
Gedi

Surprisingly nice stop for lunch on summer road trip from Tahoe to Mammoth. I had “Original Brewster”, sourdough bread with deli sliced turkey, Swiss cheese, grilled onions, crispy bacon, and straight from the can green chilies, grilled hot and toasty. Delicious! Comes with fries, and they were hot and crispy. $18 in 2025.
Partner had a BLT and it was crispy, fresh and tasty. Also with generous helping of fries. $18 in 2025.
We sat at the bar, and the service was fast and friendly.

We were in the area showing our children some of the old mining history when we drove through Bridgeport and the kids needed a restroom.
We tried a few places that did not have restrooms so out of desperation we entered Rhino’s.
I wasn’t sure what kind of lawless roadhouse this was going to be.
Well, it IS a roadhouse but the restrooms were clean, the staff was super nice, they seem to have great enthusiasm for military and first responders which is a terrific character indicator so we decided to sit down and eat.
The food was top notch and the place didn’t need Pat Swayze hanging out making sure folks behave.

They have a kid’s menu and they loved the food.
My wife had a burger which she loved and I had the fish & chips which are rarely done right but Rhino’s makes an excellent batch of fish & chips that I highly recommend.
Plus they have their own handmade tarter sauce which was great.
If you are in the area you won’t regret paying Rhinos a visit. Great place, great food, and great people.

I have always loved this place. My fourth time here. Everything was good except for the fact that they told that they will have the bar open as long as folks would be in. We were wanting to stay a little beyond 12 / midnight and they decided to close. Bummer for me for this visit but otherwise I have always LOVED this place.
