Was just in with my husband and our 4 small kids, one of which is a baby. The waitress handed my husband the check with the total not including gratuity. After running his credit card she handed ME back the receipt to sign after she added 20% gratuity onto the check. I can only assume she was hoping we would not notice the difference from the original bill. I understand that occasionally gratuity is added on parties of 6 or more but this was a part of mostly small children and instead of adding 18% she added 20%. Incredibly sneaky. Will not be back.

Was surprised how bad the food was. Chips way over cooked, guacamole no flavor and crispy taco hardly any asada in it and shell fell apart and crumbled at 1st bite. Very disappointing meal.
Super slow service. Waiter did apologize and said they were short staffed.

Great place for margaritas. Margarita special on Monday is hard to beat for the area. Highly recommend the California burrito. Excellent service every time I’ve been. If you’re in town I would give it a try.

Cal Tacos is pretty damm good. Always great food and margaritas. Service is awesome. Go by and enjoy.

I had the three carne asada tacos and the meat tasted like it was microwaved. The salsa and chips were good. My husband had the chicken and carnitas and carne asada. All were blah except the carnitas they were good but noting to write home about

Stopped by for quick bite, asked for take out of their governor tacos. I was pleasantly surprised with presentation and the tacos were delicious. Glad I stopped by.

California Tacos is only a few blocks from my house.OMG dangerous! Delicious! The EXTREME taco plate ( 5 tacos crisp or soft & 1 of each kind i you want: fish, chicken, etc.) Is awesome. Oops can't take a photo cause it's already go

This place is terrible! I had the camarones al mojo de ajo, rice tasted like it was microwaved, shrimp had no flavor… fresh garlic wasn’t even used ( minced garlic tasted like it was store bought from a jar ). Salad mix did not go well together and looked like they just wanted to throw it on the plate for presentation. Service was terrible ! Server didn’t stop by our table once to check in on us. Forgot utensils, no napkins, my bf’s burrito was cold. Overall, not a pleasant experience. The best part of my meal was the water.

We went on Sunday and had some food and a couple margaritas. Saw they had a happy hour and the menu says $12 margaritas ON THE MARGARITA menu. So the food was okay…nothing had heat. Not even the spicy salsa. So we went back for “happy hour” today. The guy sitting next to me Sunday said they had the best Birria, so I had to try it. We ordered margaritas and Birria. The meat was dry despite liquid dripping, consume had no flavor. This time I brought my own habanero sauce to add heat. Found out upon checking out that ONLY ONE margarita is on happy hour. None of the others are even discounted. So we didn’t have a very happy hour with not so great food and no drink specials at all.
