Lafond Winery & Vineyards

Was brought here by Artisan Excursion Wine tours by Tom. This was the most beautiful, picturesque vineyard we visited on the tour!

I don’t drink wine often but I enjoy wine tastings to learn and for the experience. This was my second wine tour in general. I prefer sweet to semi-sweet wines. We were given 5 wines to taste. 1 Riesling, 1 Rose, 1 Syrah, 1 Pinot Noir, and 1 Chardonnay. Unfortunately, I didn't like any of them. Most had a dry, bitter taste.

I'm glad they gave our group a charcuterie plate because the wines went down better with it. I'm not sure they typically serve it with wine tastings. They also sell other stuff beside wine. Chocolates, cookies, paintings, etc.

I didn't like that they didn't explain each wine they had us taste compared to the previous winemakers. Perhaps they had a long day as they had a lot of people that day and it was almost closing time.

Regardless, I would return back just to enjoy the views.

Excellent wine and great knowledgeable staff. We come here several times a year. They have outdoor tables and chairs and a nice view. Inside bar stools would be my only suggestion. They have clean grounds and clean bathrooms. Friendly staff.

Love their wines! Wine tasting and sitting outside in this beautiful part of the world is a treat. Did I mention the staff? From the owner to the foreman to the folks greeting in the tasting room, it is a great experience!

This is great wine. They have some really good pinot and syrah as well as some cheaper, yet very good tasting wine. Some of their pinots from certain years are very, very good. They also have certain sustainability certifications like SIP. So you already know the grapes that make up the wine you're drinking already had a clean start.

Loved the wine and beautiful venue with friendly kitty friends. Highly recommend stopping here while visiting solvang.

A beautiful location and tasting room with very nice wines, especially their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Fantastic wines and great gift shop...And if you love cats you'll find them wandering around

Great wines. Beautiful property. Sandra, Mireille and Diana are always helpful. Winemaker Bruce McGuire has a magic touch. The wine club release picnic every year is always a great time.

Great winery and great knowledgable staff. The scenery is pastoral; with cows grazing on the green hills. If you live in the city, you'll appreciate the rustic country side from this Buellton vineyard. Did I mention there is picnic tables to sip your wine and take in the scenery.

Impromptu visit to this winery. We purchased a bottle of Syrah and had a picnic outside. There were several picnic tables. We enjoyed the wine and the beautiful scenery. Lucked out with warm weather. Highly recommend.
