Closed and boarded up for over a year. The hotel is open, but not any part of the restaurant.

I truly hope they reopen this place. Anytime I would go thru there. This is a true must stop. I grew up hating peas and still do. But however, they make the split pea soup here. Wow, it is so good. That with different breads. Yum. If you haven't tried it, head to your store as some carry the pea soup Anderson brand in a can. Yes, it is almost as good. I would hit the links in solving and grab some vanishes and then head for a good meal here of the soup and breads.

They used to have great pea soup but over the years it went dawn hill plus the price went way up.

I can’t believe the restaurant is closed, so many good memories for many decades of stopping in for pea soup and/or dinners.

Always have gone since a child in 60's. Their split pea soup I always stop for. It's excellent, homemade. I love the nostalgia & atmosphere and gift shop. I get my brother their Danish cookies in white carry tub...to die for. Excellent. My son, best friend and I love it!

Smells awful in here, the food had some mold and there’s a poor selection in toys.

We drove to solvang, california for almost 5 hours to have Andersons pea soup. My wife had been talking about this place for years and about the food. We drove from the hotel to the restaurant and the outside facade made the restaurant experience go down. It looked old, rundown and dirty. Weeds and their was a homeless person living in their car, the parking lot was beat up. It made the restaurant look empty and unapproachable, like deserted. Don’t waste your time with u

They unexpectedly closed! It is my understanding that it was for renovation. Look forward to visiting them next year.

Place was closed without any notice. I drove a long way only to be stunned by their departure. Sorry to see this place closed without any fanfare or notice. Google showed this place open for business!!
