My husband and I came down for a visit to Santa Barbara from Sonoma. We wanted to experience Santa Barbara’s wines ( made famous by the movie “ Sideways” ) We’re used to exceptional wine produced in our Sonoma valley. Rivahill was a pleasant surprise! I could tell from the outside of their tasting room with their logo and the way the wine was displayed so beautifully, it had to be good ( I was right!) they mainly focus on Rhône varietals. Each crisp, refreshing, and full of fruit and not too heavy ( their Syrah 2016 is exceptional! As are all of their wines!) to summarize, run don’t walk! to Rivahill where you will be made to feel welcome and where you can experience exceptional wines ( yes even by our Valley of The Moon/ Sonoma standards!)
