The food is quite delicious, the price is fair, and it has a wonderful flavor.

If you’re craving authentic Korean comfort food, Gamjagol is the place to be! We indulged in their signature Gamjatang—a hearty pork bone soup with tender meat that falls off the bone, rich broth, and perfectly cooked potatoes.
We also enjoyed the Bossam, which are pork slices boiled in a flavorful brine to perfection and served with cabbage. The combination of the tenderness of the meat and strong flavors was delightful!
The generous portions and authentic flavors combined with the amazing service truly made our dining experience memorable. If you’re in the Buena Park area, don’t miss out on this cozy hidden gem!

If you're not going to accept guests with reservations, why do you make reservations possible?
An important guest came, so I made a reservation 3 days in advance and arrived on time.
Originally, they did not take reservations and there were no reservations.
They said they had to put up a wait and have to wait... I also showed them the text message I received, and they said it was a hassle even though they were busy, and they got irritated. I was in a really bad mood, so I couldn't make the customers who came from far away wait, so I went somewhere else and treated them.
I don't understand why they set up a reservation system if they weren't going to accept guests who made reservations in advance.
Whenever I'm around and craving some gamjatang, Gamjagol is my go-to. Their gamjatang is loaded with tender, fall-off-the-bone meat, potatoes, and veggies. Always hits the spot!

Love that there is a Gamja Gol location in the OC for when I’m craving gamjatang. I’ve ordered to go and the food is always warm and delicious when I bring it home! Also love the banchan that comes with the to go orders.

Maybe it was an off day...but the gamjatang had a weird taste to it... the meat itself tasted strange and unlike any other gamjatang I've had (in a bad way). Also, there were surprisingly many bones that barely had any meat to them...
All in all, it was not good. Also, I saw that other people who had connections(?) with the staff got extra/different kinds of side dishes..why aren't all guests treated the same..? That in and of itself shows unprofessionalism and basic to below basic service.

Warm tea is complimentary. Enjoy small dishes (Banchan 반찬) as well. One of the best local Korean soul food restaurants.

DON’T COME IF YOU ARE NOT KOREAN. THEY ARE DISCRIMINATING. The service and policy is beyond disgusting. We called beforehand and they said there’s no wait. We went and there’s no table available so we put our name down. Then we waited 40 minutes and a table clear up, we came in and ready to sit down. But the male waiter came and said they will be accommodating another Korean party of 6 because they had a “reservation”. When we came in, there was no one on the list, but magically they had a “reservation” they need to honor first. We felt extremely discriminated and left

So bad, called at 710 asking if there is wait and there was no wait
we get there at 720 and there is 2 reservation ahead of us at 8 and 815 and
at 750 table opens up and the 8 pm reservation people come and basically tell us wait longer
have argument with manager saying then you should make reservation.
horrible experience

I recently visited Gamsagol Gamjatang in Buena Park, and it was a fantastic experience! Despite being newly opened and very busy, the service was efficient, and the food was absolutely worth the wait. Their gamjatang (pork bone soup) was rich, flavorful, and perfect for the upcoming cold weather. The hearty portions and authentic flavors make this place a must-visit for comfort food lovers. I’ll definitely be back soon!

We added our name in person and one of the workers said we can wait outside , but after 40mins, we checked and they said someone reserved ahead of us and they just put them before us. They didn’t think it was necessary to tell us that even though when we put our name down, that party was not there. The party that reserved “ahead” of us was larger party so they prioritized them over us even though they were there after us.
The manager did not think this was a problem and asked why don’t we just keep waiting. Would not recommend coming if they can’t even respect the order of waiting times properly
