I phoned to ask if they do something special for birthdays & they said they only have matcha ice cream or something. i said we're celebrating 3 birthdays together, they said sure. Our party of 10 arrived the on Sat eve, I asked the staff again about celebrating 3 birthdays, they said ya, they have desserts. It was difficult to get service after we sat down. They were understaffed. There were only about 3 servers & we hardly get attention to refill water, sticks, order items, getting the bill, and to pay. The sashimi bowl didn't taste as good, with too much rice than protein, so it's not worth the price. It felt like the 18% tips already added so they didn't give much service. I felt they didn't deserve the tip amount added to my over $400 bill, especially when I asked for 3 dressers for our 3 birthdays, the server then said they could only give 1 per party... So I was very dissappointed & a bit shocked to know the difference at the end🤯😮💨💔 I paid & noted that this place is not strongly recommended.

Food here was pretty good. Portions were quite large and not the typical Izakaya size. We got the Korean fried chicken which was really tasty. The crispy rice was ok. The regular size yakitori skewers gave quite generous portions. The decor inside is very nice.
We were a group of 8 celebrating my sister’s graduation a few weeks ago. Our original dinner plans unexpectedly fell through – but luckily, we found Izakaya Ichie nearby. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Evangeline, who truly turned our night around.
Evangeline went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, taken care of, and having a great time. Her attention to detail and genuine kindness made the entire evening so lovely. Our food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious – every dish was a hit with the table.
What started out as a stressful evening, turned into such a wonderful and memorable dinner, all thanks to the amazing staff. We’ll definitely return next time we’re in town again!

This is the second time that we happen to randomly stopped at this restaurant, both times after the CSULB graduation. Both times we had a great time and tonight we enjoyed salmon carpaccio, albacore cruella, some amazing Korean fried chicken wings and some hamachi collar. The ambience is nice and I love they are open really late, so it’s perfect for a post commencement dinner. Also, our waitress Evangilyn was alone tonight, covering the entire restaurant, and even if she was clearly and obviously overwhelmed, our service was attentive and impeccable. She made this dinner even better.
