We had an amazing dinner here and I can honestly say this is one of the best Korean restaurants in OC! A Korean friend recommended it to us and now I understand why – everything tasted authentic, portions were generous, and the flavors were unforgettable.
We came with a group of six and ordered six different dishes – every single one was delicious and unique. Some highlights: • Garlic SuYuk – Huge portion of pork belly, tender but not greasy, paired with garlic sauce, spicy dip, and kimchi. So flavorful and rich. • Braised Beef Short Rib – A must-try, especially with cheese added on top. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and the cheesy layer made it irresistible. • Brisket Tteokbokki – Even though I don’t usually eat spicy food, this was worth it. The combination of chewy rice cakes, brisket, and ramen noodles with smoky flavors was amazing. • Chogye Cold Noodle – Perfectly refreshing with an incredibly rich chicken broth. Not your typical cold noodle soup – it was fragrant, light, and so satisfying. • Kimbap Jeon (fried egg-wrapped rolls) – Crispy outside, soft inside, and paired with their special white sauce. Absolutely addictive. • Curry Combo Rice – Crispy fried pork cutlet with curry sauce – comforting and flavorful.
Service was very friendly and attentive, and they even stayed open late for us. The vibe is lively but comfortable – perfect for a group gathering.
I’ll definitely be back. This place deserves all the hype, and I can’t wait to bring more friends here!

I’ve definitely found my new favorite Korean restaurant in town. Jin Cook is an authentic Korean restaurant serving some delicious eats. The portion sizes are very generous, so it’s definitely a fun spot to bring a group. We were able to try a variety of dishes and each one was so delicious. I highly recommend coming here if you want some good Korean food.

I am so happy I finally got to come try this place. My friend has been telling me all about it for about a month now and says it's her favorite place to eat. After coming here myself, I can see why.
I ordered a spicy pork hot stone. It was recommended to me and seems to be one of their more popular items! Though it is pricey, I was more than pleased to see that it was an enormous portion (which I didn't think I would be able to finish but I did :) ). It was absolutely delicious and I enjoyed every last bite. I also liked how they came with little sides like cucumbers and of course, kimchi.
Although this place is really packed, and there are groups of people outside waiting for tables, do not let that deter you. It is definitely worth the wait. Plus, I think we only waited about twenty minutes which is not that bad. Once inside, I noticed that every single table in the restaurant was taken. With food this good I am not surprised.
Two other things I liked a lot was how fast our food came out despite the high volume of people. We waited about 10-15 minutes before we got our food. Also, the workers are so incredibly cordial here. They constantly checked up on us to make sure everything was okay and to ask us how we were doing, if we needed more sides, etc. Our server, Carol, was a real sweetheart and the other worker, Matt, was also awfully kind and greeted us when we walked inside.
It is great to see what was once a very mid Ramen spot now taken over by a more successful business. All of the food here looks great and it is plain to see why Jin Cook seems to always be packed with people. I would love to come back here and try more things on their menu.

The restaurant has such a nice authentic feel from the decor to the food itself. The banchan was so good which was a strong indicator of the delectable meal to come. The service was fast and the staff was friendly.

Food was good! Visiting from New York and we were so hungry after our flight, this was our first stop after dropping our luggage off. We came by before 5pm to beat the dinner crowd, this is great for groups to share different dishes. My favorite was the beef bone soup with glassnoodles. Simple but so good! Other items are good to try like the katsu with sweet potato stuffing and cheese and curry pairing with rice, huge portions. Friendly staff and food come quickly.
