Food was great. Our server Drew did a fantastic job! The portions were very good, and quality is good. You get what you pay for.

It was a great experience.

Horrible experience! The food/meat is good. But their service is horrible, I felt so discriminated and judge by staff. Only one of them was really nice and tried to help. Will never be going back. Wouldn’t recommend this pro anyone who is bilingual or anyone who doesn’t speak English since apparently is a problem…

One of the best Korean BBQ experiences.

We had a large group and 2 kids that came to dinner. Didn’t need a reservation and they sat us fairly quickly.

The service was great! I really like that they cook all the food for you at the table, rather than letting you do it like in some places.

All the food was explained and they gave suggestion on what to combine it with.

All the cuts of meet tasted great and felt like quality meat.

Great atmosphere and overall a fantastic experience.

It truly is the quality meat that they have that makes this our favorite kbbq spot. Their thinly sliced brisket is so good and their pork jowl. Sides are plenty, and their soybean soup is delish. Also, I love the service. They cook for you while also making sure all of the sides are refilled timely as well as the water. The best part is that you can pack stuff to take home if you get extra egg, meat, or sides.

This is the third time I have visited. The service is getting worse and worse. This time, the server did not say a word, and he looked very annoyed when we asked for a refill on corn and egg. The meat is so so, nothing special. This place is overrated. I will not go back here again.

2024 Eats; OC #2, Korean #5: second time coming here and mostly same opinion as my first experience (except prices have gone up #inflation).

We ordered samgyeopsal (삼겹살, $37), marinated short ribs (꽃살 냠냠, $49), and yuhkoe (육회, $23) to start. We then added an order of boneless short ribs (꽃살* $56), and went through three bottles of soju throughout the meal $15/ea (beers are $9/ea).

The standout dish is definitely the boneless short ribs (꽃살). We ordered this both times here, and it did not disappoint either time. While it's far from cheap, you definitely get what you pay for.

While the samgyeopsal was good, it's quite small in my opinion. Samgyeopsal and pork are quite inexpensive at the nearby H Mart, so I'd suggest just grilling it at home and focussing on beef if you want to come here. My FIL thought that samgyeopsal was too fatty (but that's a positive for me).

Overall, I'd say the food is very good and high quality here. However, prices are starting to get pretty steep here IMO. Not sure what folks are ordering here to get out for <$50/person.

Service wise, this place is a total roulette wheel. We had to ask our initial server for something multiple times before asking someone new. Our second server and person who cooked some of our food, Tiffany?, I think was very helpful and friendly and knew some Korean even though she isn't Korean. Our third waitress, like most folks here, looked stressed and couldn't be bothered. I can get past all of that, but it was very odd having our yukhoe come out after some of the meat was already cooked. We had to ask 3 times to confirm it was even ordered.

Ambiance/vibe wise, this is where Baekjeong gets funky. The first time, we came on a weekday and waiting 1.5-2h to be seated as a party of six. By the time we got inside and seated, it was dark and music was bumping--it was like a club or lounge. This time, to avoid a long queue, we arrived around 5pm. We were seated immediately, it wasn't dark, and it wasn't yet a club. As we were wrapping up, the lights were dimmed and music was starting lol.

Overall, if you want to go out for K BBQ, I can recommend coming here so long as you are aware of all of the above. The food quality is higher than that of Gangnam House @ The Source, but you will pay for it, have worse service, and potentially not be able to hear anything.

We got the set meal and it was a lot for 2 people so probably could satisfy 3 people. Meat was fresh and tender, seafood pancake was also amazing with nice texture and consistency. Our server, Tifanny was also really sweet.

Our server Julie was the perfect person to guide us through our first time eating at a Korean BBQ restaurant. She was kind, patient, good humored, and enthused about helping. I really appreciate her making this a good experience, as it would have turned me away from trying K-BBQ again. I hope more people patronize this restaurant, as they deserve the attention and revenue! I don't live in California, but I wish I did, so that I could come here again.

It's higher-end, so it's pricey, but I wouldn't suggest the quality of the food, atmosphere, and service isn't proportionate to the price - because it certainly is.

So the pork was good but the intestines are old overcooked and too chewy.

The worst part was the service, the server was really pushy, used his intercom in front of us even his fingers to give gesture and told the front to print out the check when we didn’t even finish our food.

It was a Friday night, but there were still few tables available and no one was waiting to be seated.
