Now that this isn't my first rodeo at Baekjeong, I can say that the Buena Park location is just as comparable a experience as the other two locations I've dined at (the original one in Ktown [RIP] and Temple City). Make sure that if you have a group, that one person gets your group on the waitlist and then tell everyone to hustle over, as they only seat complete parties.

We had a rather large group of 15 diners, so for a Friday night, we got onto the waitlist at 6:15 pm and got seated at 7 pm across three tables. My table of four of us decided to split the small Hodong's Favorite Combo ($79) with soybean paste stew. Our combo comes with thinly sliced brisket, boneless short rib, pork belly, and marinated pork steak. We loved it all and were actually pretty full with a small for the four of us.

True as other locations, the servers take care of the grilling for you and will let you know when the meat is done and ready. They'll also bring any banchan refills that you want. Our group was partial to the rice paper and radish wrap, so we got plenty of those. We also got several bowls of rice to go with our food. If you like sesame oil, make sure to ask for it as it'll greatly enhance the meat!

They also had a menu of mocktails and desserts at this location that I haven't seen at others, so not sure if it's a seasonal thing. I am allergic to two of the mocktails (banana milk and lychee green tea), so I tried the only one I could, the mango pineapple sparkler ($6). It had a lot of pulp and fiber and was more like a smoothie than a mocktail. Still yummy if you wanted a fruity drink. Our table also tried one of the desserts--the rice pudding--and it wasn't too sweet but the texture was too thick and dense for my taste, sort of like taro, so might be better to try the other ones instead.

There's a lot of businesses in this plaza, so parking can get full. Most of us parked at the spaces in the back of the plaza and there's less traffic there so not as much gridlock as in the front.

Excellent service provided by the staff. I’ve been here a few times and each time I’ve been met with excellent service. We’re grateful for this team of workers under the current management. Shout outs to whoever is in charge!

Tasty, authentically Korean, grill-at-table bbq.

Pork belly (삼겹살) and pork jowl (항정살) are true winners. Accompanying wasabi dipping sauce, spicy miso, scallion salad, dumpling wrappers and pink turnip kimchi make for excellent accompaniments. Complimentary egg soufflé and corn-cheese, a nice added touch of hospitality.

Service staff kindly grills for you.

It's so good! The staff were all courteous and our waitor was happy to give suggestions and was very patient with us! He clearly was working very hard and I kept finding myself saying thank you to the point where I was probably being a bit annoying, haha! This was a great experience and everything on the marinated combo platter was sooooo delicious! I think I'm going to be craving that seafood pancake for a while now!!! I am newer to Korean food but I know this place is supposed to be one of the best in OC and they didn't disappoint at all! My family will be back!!! 😍🔥

Would DEFINITELY say this place is a 5 stars. Underrated at 4.3 stars right now. The service is amazing. We had about 4 or 5 waiters all tending to us to make sure we weren't short on any sides and water was always full etc. Meat was perfectly made. We got the beef combo. Every cut had such a unique flavor. Sides were great. Highly recommend!

Food was great. Our server Drew did a fantastic job! The portions were very good, and quality is good. You get what you pay for.

It was a great experience.

Horrible experience! The food/meat is good. But their service is horrible, I felt so discriminated and judge by staff. Only one of them was really nice and tried to help. Will never be going back. Wouldn’t recommend this pro anyone who is bilingual or anyone who doesn’t speak English since apparently is a problem…

One of the best Korean BBQ experiences.

We had a large group and 2 kids that came to dinner. Didn’t need a reservation and they sat us fairly quickly.

The service was great! I really like that they cook all the food for you at the table, rather than letting you do it like in some places.

All the food was explained and they gave suggestion on what to combine it with.

All the cuts of meet tasted great and felt like quality meat.

Great atmosphere and overall a fantastic experience.

It truly is the quality meat that they have that makes this our favorite kbbq spot. Their thinly sliced brisket is so good and their pork jowl. Sides are plenty, and their soybean soup is delish. Also, I love the service. They cook for you while also making sure all of the sides are refilled timely as well as the water. The best part is that you can pack stuff to take home if you get extra egg, meat, or sides.
