Koreatown Pizza — I don’t know why I haven’t reviewed this sooner.

I first knew this place from LA, and of course when it came to OC, it landed in Buena Park (because if it’s not Garden Grove, it’s Buena Park — the other Korea hub in OC).

I’ll be honest, I went in with very low expectations. I usually like my pizza simple with minimal toppings. But this place is the complete opposite — overloaded in the most extra way possible — so I had to try it.

I ordered the crazy one: blooming onion on top, cream sauce, stuffed crust, the whole situation. And I was so surprised. It was actually delicious. Not too heavy, flavors weren’t overpowering, and the crust was amazing — stuffed with sweet potato or something similar. So good.

You definitely can’t eat much of it — I tapped out at about a slice and a half — but for something unique and different, this place is worth it. Just make sure you bring company.

Heck yeah! Amazing and wonderful pizza. We had the KBBQ Calzone and Patty Cake(hamburger pizza) with soju and diet coke. It was all so flavorful and delicious. I would highly recommend. The side of kimchi was perfect 👌

Before you place an order here, please be aware that this pizza place does not take responsibility for its own mistakes.
If I could, I’d give them zero stars instead of one.

I ordered my pizza today at 9:30 PM and picked it up at 9:57 PM.

During my previous order, four garlic sauces were missing, so I called right away.
The server who answered the phone at that time apologized and said,
“I’m sorry, I’ll leave a note so we can make sure to give it to you next time.”
I assumed it was just a simple mistake because they were busy and decided to let it go.

However, when I visited again today and mentioned it,
the current server said there was no note left, so she couldn’t give me the sauces.
When I asked, “I called last time and was told a note would be left — why isn’t it there?”
she said, “I wasn’t the one who answered that call, there’s no note, and the kitchen has already closed, so I can’t give you anything.”

When I asked, “So does that mean I can’t get a refund or the sauces I already paid for?”
the server responded with a rude attitude, saying something like,
“That wasn’t my call, so why are you telling me this?”

What I can’t understand is if a customer experiences an issue caused by the store,
shouldn’t the staff at least check with the manager to find a solution?
Why should the customer take the loss for the restaurant’s mistake?

When I first entered for pickup, the server was busy counting money, didn’t greet me,
and simply handed me my order with no eye contact or acknowledgment — that was also very unpleasant.
Is this really the level of hospitality Koreatown Pizza trains its staff to provide?

If the restaurant can’t properly handle a simple pickup order during business hours, it’s better not to accept orders that late in the first place.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Koreatown Pizza since the days when it was Mr. Pizza in LA.
I’ve always spoken highly of this place and recommended it to others,
but after today’s experience, I won’t be returning again.

Owner should properly train their staff in basic customer service (attitude)
before letting them handle customers and most importantly, stop expecting customers to take responsibility for the store’s own mistakes.

We stopped by Koreatown Pizza Co. for the first time and had such a great experience! There were nine of us dining in on a Monday night, and even though there was only one server working, she was absolutely fantastic. She handled our large group with patience and efficiency, accommodating everything we asked for with a smile. Big props to her for providing excellent service!

We ordered the Kingsley Pizza, Golden Shrimp Pizza, Soying Garlic Wings, K-Town Chili Wings, and Onion Rings — and everything was outstanding. The pizzas were terrific, full of flavor, and the sweet potato crust was amazingly good, crisp on the outside with a subtle sweetness that tied it all together. The wings were delicious and perfectly seasoned, and the onion rings might honestly be the best I’ve had in a long time.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch. Everyone in our group left impressed and full. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food, friendly service, and a fun, unique twist on pizza. We’ll definitely be back!

I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled this time to point out something important. We ordered the Kingsley and the Golden Potato. It was our first time trying the Kingsley, and it was very good. The reason for my 3-star rating is the Golden Potato crust. Instead of sweet potatoes, it was made with yams, which really took away from the intended flavor. Using the correct ingredient would make a big difference, and I hope this can be corrected going forward.

I visited Buena Park today specifically to try their Kingsley pizza and kimcho kimchi nachos, and they did not disappoint! The Kingsley was absolutely worth the trip — loaded with well-marinated meat, cheese, corn, blooming onion and a variety of other flavorful toppings. The highlight was the crust, which had sweet potato built in, adding an extra layer of flavor to every bite. It was cooked to perfection, not too crunchy and not too soft.

The kimchi nachos were equally impressive and far from being an afterthought. They were loaded with quality ingredients including avocado, meat, eggs, generous amounts of kimchi, and other toppings that made every bite delicious.

The service was outstanding — quick, friendly, and attentive. They even checked in to make sure we were enjoying our meal and brought extra napkins without us having to ask, which is always appreciated.

I highly recommend this restaurant! I’m visiting from across the country and stumbled upon this gem while exploring California, and I’m so glad I did. You’ll love it too!

We had golden shrimp and veggie pizza. The golden shrimp was the best, even though both were so good! And the kimchee rice satisfied the craving I'd had for a week.
