Since Lupo's has closed we have been looking for a replacement of a good Italian restaurant that is as good as Lupo's. We found it tonight. It's called Buon Gusto. It is located on Balsa Chica and Warner in Huntington Beach. You will like this place.

Ordered take out around Christmas and it was incredible - very sad to learn they're closing at the end of this month (feb 2022). Planning to come back at least once more - wanted to make sure everyone else has time to plan a visit, too!! EDIT: we visited on Wednesday and had another lovely time! We were going to get take out, but consistently got a busy dial tone on multiple days. We then tried to do a take out order in person, but they said dine in only and I suspect that'll be the case until it closes. The restaurant was very busy but efficiently run. I ordered a cheesecake for dessert, but the only slice left was a little small - so they gave it to me for free!! It was absolutely delicious (and I'm extremely picky with cheesecake!). So sad we won't be able to make this restaurant a new staple. :(

My son and I went here for dinner, and were happy we did! The staff was very friendly, even though the restaurant was really busy. The food was delicious, and the serving size was quite generous. We were very hungry when we arrived, but the wait for a table wasn't too long, and our waitress was quick in getting our order in once we were seated, so we were enjoying our meal in no time! We both ordered chicken parmigiana, and were impressed with how good it was. The vegetables that came with it were very tasty as well. We are looking forward to eating here again soon!

We had a very comforting meal! The restaurant is just like I remembered back in 1979! The meal started off with the bread basket and balsamic vinegar. The others had thin crust pizza but I had the stuffed pork chop. It came with soup or salad. I chose the single caprese (tomatoes, mozzarella and basil). It also came with a side of noodles or spinach gnocchi. The pork chop was quite large and was great the next day. We will definitely be back.
Omg! The best and good potions, clam chowder, pizza, Chicken Marsala, linguine and clams and cannoli. Homemade we tried the appetizer fried calamari and fried mozzarella cheese was so so good. My family tries to come here and glad we remembered too. We are. On vacation out here. Authentic food just go there!! The bread is also delicious. I wanna go back before I go home.

Food is always great here! Whatever they put in that meat sauce is magic, makes you want to soak up every little drop with their delicious garlic bread. My husband said the lasagna was the best he ever had!!!
