Porto's makes pick up a pain for everyother pickup in the center. The food was the best Chinese we have ever had but also some of the most expensive. A rear treat but very clean safe experience with the staff & pick up.

Chinese chicken salad is the best! Although they forgot to put the chicken in the last time I was there..

Okay so I'm in here right now. I have no words except ex-fuckin-quisite! WOW! Best Chinese food I've had in my 39 years of life. Everything is 100% fresh and made at the time you place the order. The place is clean. The restrooms are clean. Cold beer. Fresh iced mug for every beer. We came from San Diego. We will be back for sure!

I am so happy we were able to stop by and dine in outside on their patio area, a couple months back. The first time we dined in was in February 2019. And a little over a year later, we were once more satisfied with the food! We enjoyed the Orange chicken, and the shrimp and walnut dish! We also ordered an appetizer, but I can't remember what it was. The dishes are great portions, we had some food leftover to take home. I was a happy gal!

I actually love their dishes and customer service, fantastic area next to my residence. The cashiers are always nice. Highly recommended.

The food was good, but nothing memorable. The prices were a little high for the serving size . I would have given a better rating however the lack luster service from our waitress was why I didn't. She was polite but besides greeting us when we first got there , she never checked in on us at all u til she came to give us our bill. The restaurant was not busy and overall the food was decent but I will not be rushing to go back.

Overall, a good Chinese-American restaurant located near Knott's Berry Farm.A small challenge here is that the parking lot is shared with Porto's--which means it can be tough to find parking when Porto's is very busy. Usually the wait to get in here is pretty manageable; never been more than 10 minutes from my experience. The food generally is your typical "Chinese-American" fare, with both standard dishes (like kung pao chicken) and unique dishes (like Shelby's Sweet and Spicy Chicken). I haven't had any bad dishes here; however, the last time we got takeout (due to the pandemic) the hot and sour soup came out a bit bland. The remainder of the dishes came out quite good though. When dine-in becomes a viable option again, I would also recommend coming here for the cocktails, because all the cocktails I've had here have made it worth the trip here alone. One final thing: overall the service here has always been very good and I've found the wait staff to always be very attentive and courteous.

I only had the fried rice with veggies and honey glazed shrimp. The shrimp was really good, the rice was ok. I also got the salad with shredded chicken and it was really good too.

I was too lazy to drive to Rowland Heights or even Artesia for Cantonese cuisine, and Yelp said this place has "Hong Kong Style" chow mein. I know it was an "American" style Chinese place, so I took a gamble and placed my order for pickup. The place is located literally next door to Porto's. The line to get into the parking lot is primarily for Porto's so upon driving in, veer LEFT and there's a few token spaces for New Moon. There's no curbside pickup for New Moon, so bring your mask and head over to the front door.My order wasn't ready because online I requested that they use all "chinese" green vegetables, and not American broccoli. Apparently they did not get a shipment in, so they asked me what kind of veg I'd like instead... snow peas, carrots, mushrooms? I should have asked if they had baby corn. Darn it.The portion of the crispy noodles was much smaller than I anticipated, considering the sauce was enough for 2 orders of noodles. The chicken they used was breast meat, and it was tender, and thankfully since it was swimming in the gravy, it was definitely not dry. I don't know if they used MSG but I was quite thirsty after dinner. I still have sauce left over but not enough noodles... so I'll have to whip up some rice and pour it over. It's pricey for an upscale "chinese-american" restaurant.. the noodles set me back $20 and that included $4 tip.

My first New Moon experience was in Montrose, then San Marino and now here. This food is from the old days, which I appreciate, when we would go to the Far East Cafe on First Street after weddings, funerals or other family events. I'm still hoping I'll see Almond Duck, my favorite old school entree, and the other foods I associate with over 50 years of dining. They do have my Egg Foo Yung, Walnut Shrimp and the dishes that are known for Cantonese cuisine, and the presentation, although to go, was nicely prepared and a good amount. Being in Buena Park, next door to Porto's, not much Chinese dining is around, so I'm hoping they've found their niche, and place in the OC.

4 stars because the food tastes like fresh ingredients were used, presentation was nice, and the staff was very kind to us. Curbside. Super easy. Friendly staff. Food was good. Not mind-blowing, but good. Orange peel beef: okay, but probably better dining-in because it wasn't as crispy as it might be after being in a container through the drive home. Could use more spice. Vegetable Fried rice:Very bland. Next time I'd try a different kind. Honey glazed chicken w/ orange zest:Good, but do NOT mistake this for orange chicken, because that it is NOT. It's an okay item, wouldn't order it again or have to go back for it. Sweet & spicy chicken:BEST THING WE ORDERED. SO. FRIGGIN. GOOD. Flavorful for sure.
