Delicious

Always ordered delivery with DoorDash, but decided to stop by today. This was a nice visit, cool atmosphere, clean eating areas and bathroom. Customer service was very nice as well. I’ll have to return with my mother.

Of course this food was delicious, priced well, and the portions are generous.

Tonight I ordered a Chicken Katsu plate and a Island Fire Chicken plate for me and my wife's dinner. We have ordered these dishes before and have been very satisfied. However tonight the Island Fire Chicken was very lacking. I probably had more vegetables than chicken, which is very disappointing. I have ordered this plate before and have received plenty of chicken. Sadly this was takeout meal and not discovered till I got home, set the table, and was ready to eat. My wife's Chicken Katsu was still good, but I was left hungry. I probably had less than half the amount of chicken my wife had.

Me and my boyfriend walked in last night 10 minutes before closing. We didn’t realize they closed at 9 PM. We were going to walk out because we felt bad ordering food so close to closing, but the staff assured us it was more than OK so we stayed and ordered took our food to go And it was delicious. I had the chicken teriyaki plate. He had the beef plate and we’re both so happy. Thank you to the staff.

Nice and clean place to get some good Hawaiian chow.

Rude staff, just ridiculous, won’t give you your own order without you verifying that, and that’s judgmental and disrespectful, bc not everyone was being asked

This place is an insult to Hawaiian food. My katsu had more breading than chicken, and the breading was rock hard to the point of being inedible. And the portion sizes... For 14 bucks we got maybe a third of a chicken breast and a small scoop of kalua pork. A salad with the tiniest drizzle of dressing. Yesterday's rice. Awful.

Parking: Tiny spots. Not many of them.

Ono Hawaiian is one of the local spots where you can eat some "ono" Hawaiian food in Buena Park. The experience with online ordering is easy. Our order was prepared and ready near the time given, and pick-up was tolerable. The restaurant was busy each time, so there was some wait, even for early dinner pick-up time. Other times, it's been a smooth experience.

I enjoy the food here, and the staff prepares the meals consistently. The chicken katsu and fried shrimp have a crispy outer with tender meat inside. The mayo-heavy and creamy macaroni salad pairs well with the entrées. Sometimes, the macaroni salad can be a bit vinegary. You may like Ono's version if you like creamy Hawaiian-style mac salad. The plate portions are also generous. The musubi offered are also tasty. I've had the classic spam and the BBQ beef.

Please make sure you get all the sauces when picking up your orders. A few times, the katsu sauce for the chicken katsu plate wasn't included in our takeout, which was a little disappointing.

The staff manages to provide quality service, but I can understand when it gets swamped during peak dining hours. Overall, I've had good experiences at Ono Hawaiian. I don't dine in much here, but the space is kept clean and relaxing when the crowds don't build up. There are also a few tables just outside the door.

We also used coupons that were only redeemable through online ordering. The company's website, newsletter, and social accounts occasionally offer coupon codes and deals.

Arrived at this location famished. My sister bragged about how much she loves the white fish fillet and the Hawaiian bbq chicken, and not to mention the macaroni salad that really stimulates her appetite!
The restaurant just opened that day and the staff was still cleaning up the tables. The staff took our orders; we were asked to get our own water, also some sauces available. Our food was supposed to be picked up at the front, but the guy brought our food to our table. Thank you for your great service. (Maybe he noticed that we’re seniors.)
We’re so delighted with our choices, the white fish was incredibly delicious! I love every single bite! Will definitely come back!

Dietary restrictions: We requested that the chicken would be sliced/cut into bite sized pieces, which they obliged. Thank you.

Been going to hawaiian BBQ for a while and it has always been good food and nice service. It also has a nice atmosphere and comfortable seats. I would like to mention someone in particular, a very nice gentleman named Bryan he was very personable and asked me how i was. He treated like a human and not just another customer. He went out of his way to provide good service. It hard sometimes to find good customer service like him.
