Came here Friday night for the first time. I couldn't find any available spot so I parked across the street. The are limited number of seats inside the restaurant. We waited for around 20 minutes to get seated. We ordered the Chasu miso tsukemen and the summer special dan dan cold noodle. The broth is the tsukemen is amazing. With the squeezed lime it is even better. It is a hot summer day, so eating tsukemen is a bit heavy, the cold dan dan noodles is actually more enjoyable, but it's up to your preference. The noodles are freshly prepared and chewy. The pork, however, it's not as tender as I expected, doing it inside the broth helps a little.

Tsukamen is delicious. Perhaps the best ramen in Orange county

This tiny eatery blew my mind away with how each spoonful packed in the flavor and goodness. I ordered the Cold Dandan Noodles and my husband had Red Miso Ramen. Both did not disappoint. The wait-staff and kitchen staff were friendly and accommodating and you do seem like you are stepping into an authentic ramen shop in Tokyo....2022-2025 Michilen Guide stickers are on the wall and for a good reason. Definitely worth the drive from LA!

Ramen was too salty but it was good. Service was great. One too many flies but I guess that couldn’t be helped!

The worst service I experienced.
The server is disrespectful, I don’t know if she is not enjoying her job or anything.
My wife did not even finish even 1/4 of her food.
Not worth it.

The food is very good, they have Michelin-starred restaurants, but the service is anything but. The place was empty when I arrived, and while I was waiting for my order, my 7-year-old daughter sat in a chair for a second, and we were asked to wait outside. I like the ramen, but not the service. It was hot, and I was shopping. I don't recommend it because of the service. In the end, she left, very rudely, and left my things there. A little more kindness, please.

I’m a huge fan of Ramen and always in search for the best bowl of deliciousness, so I had to check out Chef Toshimasa Sano ‘s @ramen_and_tsukemen_tao in Buena Park/Cypress, Ca. Located in a strip mall, and it’s a very small restaurant.
Since 2022 they have been given a Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking restaurant and have been included in this year’s 2025 MICHELIN Guide USA.
We tried the white and red miso, and Ramen’s . Their 40 hour broth was so deep, rich, and amazing and the noodles had the perfect chewiness to them. We also had Gyozas, fried tofu, and Chashu Don. All so good.
A definite new favorite of mine , and highly recommended if you love Ramen.

The food was great, I had the Chasu Red Miso (Pork) and it was very flavorful. I did add some of the chili paste. I also hade the Pot Stickers, probably the best I have ever had. Same for the Pork Bun. One thing I would recommend is, they posted instructions on how to prepare and eat your ramen, the cartoon is cheesy but the instructions really increased the flavor.
I am not impressed with the restaurant itself, very small and not very warm or inviting.
I was drawn here because of the Michilen Star rating. I think it is great food but I did expect more for a Michilen Star. I'm from the Bay Area and there is a ramen restaurant there (Marufuku) which in my opinion is better than this place.

We ordered the spicy white miso ramen and the spicy red miso ramen. Both broth were very thick and SALTY AF!! Salty like the damn ocean. I recently found out they have 1 Michelin Star, I thought it was a joke. I'm so baffled as to how they even got one. I prefer Daikokuya in Little Tokyo. Tao was just horrible. Got home and drank more water and needed something to wash off the salt off my tongue. It was a very unsatisfying meal. Totally disappointed. I'm not understanding how people are giving it such high ratings? This was our second time trying this place bc we didn't like it the first time and I always give a restaurant another chance. But two times in a row, the broth were extremely salty. I think that's just how they make it and I guess majority of people in America enjoys salty broth. :/

Went when they first opened back in 2019 and it was decent.
The chashu was dry and the service was lacking, disappointing being a Japanese establishment.
