On the evening of April 4th, I ordered a cheese cutlet over the phone and arrived at the store. The food was ready, but it was chicken cutlet, not cheese cutlet.I placed my order over the phone, so maybe there was poor communication. The price was different, so I calculated a new price and waited for 5 to 10 minutes before the proper food was ready. There was a male employee at the checkout counter who could have insisted that I had made a mistake in ordering, but he was very polite and admitted that he had made a mistake. They responded so kindly that I actually felt sorry. And at the end, when they packed the food, they also gave me the chicken cutlet that came out wrong. It was a moment that made me realize why Yoko Tonkatsu has been able to do business so well in Fullerton for such a long time.Boss, please raise the salary of the male cashier who worked on the evening of April 4th ^^

The lady who served me was really unfriendly. It seems like the oil used to fry the pork cutlet hasn't been changed for a long time and the quality of the pork isn't that good. I don't want to go there again.

Good spot for some katsu. Place is busy & there is sometimes a wait, not any longer than 10 to 15 mins from my experience. The katsu is great very flavorful, crunchy, & the amount of food is definitely surprising that they serve you. All in all def a great spot to check out ?

The lady couldn’t understand my order and was rude over the phone because she thought I was ordering 2 combos and not one. Her english wasn’t great I suppose. The food was a bit pricey and consisted of a large heap of raw canbage and assortment of sauces and not much meat or rice. The menu said that the combo comes with an option of udon, soba, or a few varieties of sushi. When I arrived to pick up the food I was surprised that it was not a combo but charged an additional $8 for a dainty portion of soba noodles. The food tasted decent but not great. Was disappointed by the quality of the food and portion size.

Decorated for xmas! You're served w sesame seeds to self grind before the server pours Katsu sauce over it, which is fun to do. + Katsu combo w Chicken Katsu ($13.95) and Hot Soba ($7): Katsu comes w chicken Katsu, 1 shrimp Katsu and 1 potato Katsu with a bed of cabbage and dressing. Absolutely loved the side of radish kimchi and pickled jalapeños! Hot soba is topped w crown daisy, green onion, fish cake, and imitation crab. Loved the addition of crown daisy, but overall simple. (7.8/10)

We were trying to figure out what to have for dinner and stumbled upon this restaurant. There aren't many places that can make katsu the right way. For a Friday evening, we didn't have to wait to be seated. Yoko is located at the corner end of the plaza off Los Coyotes Dr. next to a hair salon. The interior is small and bit cramped. Before your meal, you are given sesame seeds and a mortar set to grind at your table. Then they added the house dipping sauce. The sauce is a game changer. We ordered the katsu combo and the curry katsu. The combo comes with an entree and a choice of one more item. We opted for the udon. The katsu entree was crispy and delicious. But, the udon was not that good. The broth was pretty bland. I would skip curry katsu. The sauce was tasteless. The food and service were decent. I'm not sure if there will be a return visit.

This is by far my favorite katsu restaurant around. I highly recommend trying out the pizzakatsu as it's very generous with the cheese and toppings. Additionally the soba and udon are both quite good and my family often gets those. The service is always usually very quick and efficient. The store does get quite crowded sometimes though so there may be a wait. I love how they decorate the walls according to the season as well.

Service was so fast, the lady was really nice. Ordered the chicken curry katsu, i give it a 8/10. The flavor was good but the consistency of the curry was not very pleasant. It was almost sticky(?) or slimy? Idk how to describe it but it was weird but flavor is really good plus the katsu was perfectly cooked! Salad and the miso soup was so yummy too.My husbansds Chicken Katsu is a 10/10! The katsu sauce is so yummy and the katsu was cooked to perfection. My husband was so happy he wants to take his parents here to eat. Ambiance was nice too. The place already has christmas decorations and all which makes it so cute. Will def come back here!

Pricing: 10/10Service: 10/10Food: 10/10There is a reason this small restaurant is the last one standing in that plaza. We visited on a cool Saturday night. The first thing we noticed is all other business in the same plaza are closed. Yoko is the only business with the lights on. After our visit, we can see why.The offering is unique. The pricing is competitive especially being in 2023. The server was attentive and quick on his feet. Once we were seated, we received our food within minutes. The Tonkatsu and pairing feel spot on. I know it is a korean owned business but damn this feel authentic. My mother ordered hot noodle and it was warmed and tasty. It was a memorable meal.

When is there never a line to yoko? Every time I pass by the restaurant there is a line. It can fit around 9 parties (2-4 people). They're known for their donkatsu combos. I go for the Donkatsu and soba most of the time. Their sauce for the Donkatsu sticks out from other restaurants.
