Ava bakery delivers to the Sacramento area every three weeks and we drive a half hour just to get their delicious nazookies as well as a couple of other of their products. They have the best taste of any we've tried.

This is just for the lahamajun, which I am very sorry to say is not good. Very dry, no flavor and super doughy. I was excited to see Avo's right by the Burbank airport (I had an uncle Avodis!) and stopped in to buy some fresh a few years ago and it was so unappealing I actually threw it all out ... this was when I used to go to Tarzana Armenian market and buy the frozen ones (in a baggie, on a paper plate ... a red twist-tie meant it had red pepper! remember ?) that were soooo good. I thought I'd source something closer to me but ... nope. Lately I've been buying them from Jon's Market (Sasoun Bakery inside) which are also really good, but this week saw Avo's in the freezer section and thought you know what, it's been years ...maybe they just had a bad day that time I went in. But nope, still not good. Just tastes like doughy bread and makes me want to make my own like my aunty and metzmama used to make.

i have always love mediterranean food however the minute I tried Avo's bakery bread and cookies the quality of fresh and using the freshest and organic ingredients mixing flavors originally from their culture along with california made products it gives their bread and yummy galletas (cookies) a great delicious taste abd value to go buy them and support this local business. the owners are great educated, very welcoming to any people from any race backgrounds who comes to buy their product. Everyone at Avo's are nice, friendly, welcoming, hard working people from all the colors. Avo's is hade made bread and that makes it I recommend the cheese pizza Muchas Amigos! As latino male I love Avo's bakery especially cause they are great supporters and treat their employees who work very hard to bring you the customers the best and the owners appreciate that and treat them amazing. I bought Avo’s Sweet Gata Bread in Phoenix, and it was absolutely garbage. There was no sweet feeling, and if there was, I couldn’t even see or taste it. And it was not sweet at all. Waste of money. Don’t buy it. I ate a lot of gata in Armenia, Boston, New York, California and also home made. But after buying Avo’s gata, I will never ever buy it again. Total disappointment.

I bought baklava from Super King in Santa Ana that was made by Avos and it tasted stale or burnt and hard to cut, so i flipped it upside down and it was kind of green and hard as wood. I have no idea what happened but contacting the bakery did me no good, I guess they don't care enough to reply to their customers. This was unacceptable, i found out that they are a sub-standard baker, I recommend Baklava Factory instead.

Spoke with Avos son next day. He was not aware of web problems with orders. I placed my order with him over the phone. Later Avos called to apologize, said he would get in touch with the web company right away. We had a nice chat. Looking forward to delicious Lahmajoun coming soon.

Delicious Mediterranean ring bread / bagels that I purchased from Super King in Northridge. I contacted bakery to check if they deliver to any stores in the Antelope Valley where I live and to my surprise, they do at Superior Market every two weeks.
