My son and I were visiting Burbank for a Walt Disney Studios tour. We stayed at a fantastic little motel - a mere 5-10 minute walk from Bob's Big Boy called The Tangerine (both of us would definitely recommend staying there).\nWe drove in from San Diego on a Sunday and didn't get in until 8:00pm... being a kid from the 1970's and fondly remembering our town's Bob's Big Boy - having the opportunity to take my kid to this ORIGINAL location was fabulous.\nSo...
Went to Bob's for the first time in almost 40 years, and although Nadia our waitress was WONDERFUL, the food was less than stellar and nothing like I remember. The burger LOOKED great, but it tasted mediocre and like cheap meat. The coke slaw was absolutely BLAND. \nNo reason to ever go back....
Charming old school dining experience. The venue is much bigger than you anticipate. It provides a nostalgic dining feel, simple meals that are reasonably priced and very welcoming staff. The venue was very popular with many people still coming in to eat well after 11PM.
