I had to review this great restaurant! The food is outstanding and the people are a truly great couple who aim to please their customers. Chef Ike and his wife, Irene, are consummate professionals who understand sushi and source the very freshest fish I have ever had in LA- either side of the hill! I am a loyal eater and it took a lot for me to try a new sushi spot after going to a very famous valley sushi spot for over 25 years. I was thrilled, which is saying a lot considering the legendary competetion that they were up against. I have not ever had a less than fabulous piece of fish there.

I ordered take out and it was pretty good. The rice was lacking a bit of moisture that I'm accustomed to in sushi and rolls but overall would definitely order again from here since the fish was soft and tasty. Next time, I'd like to eat in and get a better since of the sushi made fresh.

Don't judge a book by its cover! I had driven by the restaurant a few times and always wanted to go in and I finally took the chance. The food was so delicious and so FRESH! The quality of the fish was just above par, you could taste it in every bite. I wish I had taken photos of everything but it was just so good, I couldn't be bothered to take my phone out. The restaurant is very intimate, cozy and inviting; a great place to enjoy some sushi. The lady that helped us was so sweet and kind, she took her time going over the menu with us and even recommended some items for us to try. We had a variety of fish from octopus to oysters, salmon, tuna and yellowtail. We also got special rolls that were so yummy! A must try is the lemon roll, I was skeptical about the lemon slices but definitely a great dish!

Amazing service every time I visit. The food is so fresh and flavorful. The friendly service really tops it off. Absolutely recommend!

Love the food and cooks. I just wished the customer service was a bit more friendly. The lady is not consistent with her hospitality and hosting. She's only nice when you leave a tip but I get the vibe she's tryna get you in and out and not in a graceful manner. Otherwise I'd rate a 5/5, a solid 2 on the host. Wish someone else could handle that part of the experience, that would make things more genuine

The food is amazing! It came out almost 1 minute after we ordered, really quick! I mean, we ordered sushi, of course it tastes good! The rainbow roll was really good. We also got the veggie and shrimp tempura. Some of the vegetable tempura pieces were a bit sad and small though, but it's fine since it is just an appetizer. Overall, really nice place. The waitress was especially kind as well.

Most expensive sushi restaurant I've ever visited. 70 bucks for 10 undersized pieces of sashimi, soup and seaweed salad. Ridiculous! I don't write a lot of reviews, but this place required a response. One star.

Amazing sushi! The fish was super high quality and delicious. I enjoyed the salmon, yellowtail, bluefin tuna, and red snapper. Next time I want to try their carpaccios!

Food is absolutely delicious however the 1 waitress is terrible. My first time there was takeout, she seemed annoyed I asked for spicy mayo after she handed our food & rudely gave us the price to pay for it. 2nd time we ate inside, same & only waitress got our order wrong & wanted to make sure she expressed the fact that she was right & I ordered wrong. Been eating sushi for about 20 years now, I know what I like & don't like. I really like the place, very close to where I live but not sure I want to deal with her again.

I was visiting from Utah and found this awesome place. The food was fresh, beautiful, delicious and top notch. The restaurant has a quaint Japanese feel and Chef Ike and his lovely wife are the consummate hosts...friendly, likeable, and fun. From the time I was welcomed into the door with "Irasshaimase!" to their traditional bowing when leaving, they are the most wonderful people! I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants excellent Japanese food, great ambiance, and anyone who wants to support wonderful, lovely people in their business of making people happy with great food and charm.
