Very interesting place. Diner-style Mexican joint. I grabbed a prawn burrito, and it was humongous.
Washed it down with Modelo Negra, which is my favourite beer when I am visiting LA. This time though the waitress Lorena brought it with a lime, which I have never seen before (!). And it works amazingly well! I ordered a 2nd bottle, and it's still on the table. Gonna enjoy it (!) when I'm done with this.
ATM I am the only customer, it's Sunday, maybe that is why. The ladies laugh their guys out in the backround. The atmosphere is great. Something tells me it's even better when the place is full.
Now onto that Modelo Negra...

We happened to be eating here as we lived right next door for one night! Super nice Service, child friendly and authentic cuisine!! Toll! Even the children's dishes! And at the same time super cheap....
I ordered the green chicken enchiladas plate, they were pretty good as the rice and beans were. What sold me was the chips and salsa, so delicious and authentic ( has a nice little kick).The restroom was extremely clean and the staff very friendly and courteous. I will definitely recommend it.

It was my first time at Candilejas Restaurant, the restaurant looked clean, the server showed up promptly, I ordered a ceviche tostada, definitely it wasn't what I wanted, there's wasn't any consistency with the shrimp, it was salty and to much veggies than shrimp. Honestly, unless you don't mind food without flavor and salty, I don't recommend this place at all. Also, it's overpriced.

It's 105 outside and it's warmer in the restaurant. AC broken?

Came to this restaurant for the 1st time to give it a try. It was extremely hot in the restaurant. No ac it may have been cooler outside. I ordered flautas which was supposed to come with 4 according to the menu. It was actually 2 cut in half. Also they were not fried it was more like an enchilada came with sauce and cheese on top.
