If you are in the area and want great tasting Mexican food, I highly recommend Candilejas! I wasn't sure what to expect as this was my first time visiting and hadn't heard of this restaurant. The service was great and the food was delicious. I had the campechana and a michelada. I couldn't stop eating the chips and salsa as the chips came out nice and warm each time. I definitely plan to stop by again.

So far this place has the best shrimp cocktail I’ve had in the many restaurants I’ve been to.Also the ceviche is damn goodCamarones al mojo de ajo , fried fish!!If you want some good authentic seafoodDefinitely try this spotAlso ask for a cold glass when getting a beer !!!!

Let me start off by Thanking the staff & cooks! They work hard and always consistent with their dishes in flavor and freshness!I highly recommend this place! The food is flavorful and delicious. My go to is the Aguachiles (different level of spicy are available) Chilaquiles and Burrito mojado! The menudo is a favorite after the hangover!! Hits the spot!They also have a great menu selection!Kid-friendliness: My kids love their tacos and flautas! My kids are picky eaters but love Candilejas tacos! Thank you

Found this place while looking for some Mexican food off the freeway. Didn't expect much, but OH WOW!!!! I'm super picky with my Mexican food, BTW. Great service and GREAT food! I got the Fajitas Poblanas and BEST fajitas I've had anywhere EVER! Really good. My husband and I were impressed. Thank you!

We recently discovered this resturant and have been coming here for about a month. The food has been great with everything we have tried, until today. We ordered 2 carne asada burritos to go. The steak inside the burritos was very hard to chew and had a lot of gristle. The meat was too salty. Also the meat appeared to be fried instead of grilled. The meat seemed like maybe it had been left over from previous cooking and refried again to make the burrito. We won’t order carne asada burritos again.

No-frills Mexican joint with great food! I got the enchiladas Verdes with machaca and was very happy. A friend got them with carnitas - also happy. I'll be back!
