The quick serve restaurant is clean and the staff were friendly. This is a self serve restaurant. You have to place your order on a tablet, there is no real description listed. The food came out quickly. I ordered shrimp dumplings and they were basic. They were served plain. I probably would not return based on this experience.

The dumplings are SO good!! I’m definitely coming back here. I had the pork dumplings along with the popcorn chicken and it was the best. It’s also a lot of food!
The lady who helps us up front and brought our food to the table, was the sweetest person ever. I appreciated her a lot.

Hmm the dumplings skin was chewy and overcooked. Meat inside was heated unevenly so some parts were cold. I really wanted to like this place. The broth on the wontons were good though. They also just seemed super slammed.

Baos came out cold. The fried rice was meh, can tell it was frozen veggies. The peas weren't even cooked all the way. Tables were dirty, had to grab napkins and clean it myself. Paid to work and get cold food is crazy

We ordered through GrubHub, and we're tingling with excitement when the order arrived. We dove right in, and were not disappointed. We ordered Har gow, shrimp with pork siu mai, crispy shrimp dumplings, black pepper wagyu beef dumplings, and chicken egg rolls, along with BBQ Pork Bao. All were AMAZING. First, nothing was missing, and the order was correct. Second, the dumplings were still warm when they arrived. Third, they were juicy and tender. Even my son loved them, and he is a pretty harsh critic. I was also impressed by the dumpling packaging (photo below), which made for a nice presentation.

We can't wait to try the Wagyu Fried Rice!

The tables being dirty was the worst part, middle of my pork bao was cold but the prices were great.

The food is just very mediocre. It looks nothing like the photos on their website. The photos are extremely misleading. The photos show real small pieces of meat in their dumplings. This is just like any dumpling you buy at the grocery store. The premium wagyu dumpling was just a hunk of meat in the dumpling. Nothing gave me the taste of wagyu at all. We ordered that. The chicken dumplings tje bbq pork the shrimp har gow the popcorn chicken and the veggie garlic noodles. The best part were the sauces. The garlic ponzu and the spicy aioli were great but the food itself is very meh. The garlic noodles were the best dish I tasted and that was very mediocre as well.

A very positive experience! I mean how can you not go into a place called chubby dumplings? It just begs to be visited. I mean you would really have to question your very existence if the name alone does not attract your attention. ☺️🤩 Come on, aren't you a little bit curious? Are they really chubby? What's inside? Do they taste good? Yes, all that. They tasted good and they were very squishy, warm and tasty. I tried the chicken dumplings and I would definitely go back for them. Eight for $10 is also a fair price. The service was very good, I ordered on the takeout screen and an employee brought it outside to me. Very polite and nice people. Will definitely come here again.

Super fast, great food! We just tried it on a whim, but the dumplings will definitely bring us back.

The people working here were nice but boy everything I ordered before a movie was disgusting. I wasted almost thirty dollars on dumplings and some noodles. When California is a place where Asian cuisine is good there is no reason for this place to be that bad. I honestly wouldn’t give it any stars and I feel bad for saying that but it is the truth.

This tasted like the food you buy frozen at costco or 99 ranch and heat up in your microwave. The ramen is akin to some of the higher end cup of noodle type products. As far as I can tell all the photos of the food on their website and in store are AI generated which I happen to find rather off-putting.

I usually am a fan of chubby group establishments. But I was disappointed in chubby dumpling. My beef soup which is one of my favorite dishes didn’t have any bok choy, and had almost no meat. It was 90% noodle. It was also SALTY as heck! I’ve never had a beef noodle soup with no beef and just plain salt. The noodles were nice and the little meat that was there was good. They need to work on the broth and portions. Also why have pictures of bok choy if you don’t even offer it? Feels scammy.

The beef noodle soup was quite tasty with a generous amount of beef, though it was a bit salty. Unfortunately, when I visited, neither the combo meals nor the pork items were available. I also tried the wagyu dumplings, but they weren’t to my taste.

A new concept of fast food dumplings. And it works but at the same time it dosen't work. Staff was great and attentive. Dumplings were really nothing to write about. The best part was the signature sauce. We got black pepper wagu beef pan fried and chicken steamed dumplings.
They both have no real taste still you dip it into the sauce and then you still get the bland dry flour taste of the outside. We also got crispy fried chicken rice. The rice taste like it just came out of a bag from the freezer. The custard bao had really good taste but the outside was a little odd. Yes, its cheap but if you really want dumplings and are in the area just go to Din tai fung in Glendale.
