From management, service staff, all the way down to the host staff — everyone was amazing, attentive, and made sure me and my partner were taken care of. We weren't celebrating anything in particular, but I knew a night at Castaway would be a memorable experience that was top-tier. And it was. The oysters and steaks were also 100% the best part, aside from my company. I'm a fan and will be coming back again.

From the drive up the hill to Castaway, the excitement was building. As I entered the restaurant, we knew we were in for a treat. The city views and the outdoor patio were great. The NY strip steak was delicious and all the sides were full of flavor. Can't wait to come back again in the future!

We had the most amazing dinner last night (my husband and I). Our server, Breanna (not sure if I spelled it correctly), was so sweet and kind and did a really great job! I had the Butterfish, and my husband had the chicken. We shared a lovely bottle of rose and also ordered the cauliflower and Brussel sprouts apps. Everything was so yummy. It's a really beautiful place and it won't be our last visit!

We had a reservation but still waited 20 minutes to be seated... at 5:30 pm. That was the least pleasant part of our dinner. The service was good. Not fast but friendly and mindful. They took our kids orders first so they could get food ASAP, but it took a while for the server to come back and get the rest of our orders. Great selections on the kids menu and decent prices for this restaurant. Adult meals were also good - much better than right after the renovation and a lot better than the OG Castaway. The decor is modern and elegant but I really miss the original Tiki vibe.

I've come here prior for happy hour with friends, but this was my first dinner experience and it was amazing!! I thought I might have been cold outside, but the fire to the side was the perfect amount of heat, I was so cozy! The food was to die for and our waiter Wyatt was the best! I came to celebrate my birthday and truly felt celebrated. The service level was just right, allowing my hubby & I to laugh and enjoy each other's company without many interruptions but felt checked up on at just the right times. I know it sounds weird, but other places it can be too much or not all. I can't wait to come back for our next day of celebration! Thank you for making my night feel special!

They got rid of their self parking option and only have valet now. It was a hassle to get them to let me park my own car and pay for it. Additionally, upon arriving we were seated 17 minutes past our reservation because they were understaffed for hosting some kind of wedding engagement event on site. The hostess table had about 4-5 people behind the desk and they seemed annoyed that I had checked in with them about our reservation due to the wait time for seating. These things are not normally an issue but when someone has a reservation and an event to attend afterwards it negates the point of making a reservation. The entire experience has me willing to go elsewhere from now on despite it being close to home. There are far too many amazing restaurants in Los Angeles that deliver exceptional services for the same or a lower price point to deal with all of these inconveniences.
