The magic is gone. What made IKEA special for me was the little things—real silverware 🍴, proper plates, glass cups for soda, and actual mugs for coffee ☕️. It felt like a real dining experience, not just a quick bite. But now, all of that is gone. Someone decided to cut corners, ditch the dishwasher staff, and swap it all out for paper everything. It’s just not the same. I’ll truly miss the old IKEA 😢
After walking however many miles through the Ikea store in Burbank, we were starving. And tired. And our feet hurt. We went to the cafeteria and had some classics. I think that is all that they serve here…. The Smoked Salmon Salad was full of flavor and the salmon was so tender. The salad is served with fresh leafy greens and a scoop of potato salad. The smoked salmon had a great flavor. I want some bagels with lox now…. The potato salad was good, maybe a bit plain. The dressing on the side of the plate is an odd choice. We also got the Swedish Meatballs with peas, mashed potatoes, and lingonberries. The mashed potatoes are perfect for picking up the peas! Nothing was overcooked, the peas were tender, the mashed potatoes were very mashed, no texture, just potato-ey goodness. This came with some lingonberries. It was nice to cut the other flavors with it. We also got some veggie patties and plantains as side dishes. The veggie patties were good, maybe a bit small, but good flavor. And the Plantains were cooked just right. A little resistance to them, but soft and full of flavor. Had to get a scone and strawberry cake as well. I forgot to take pictures of the cake, but for a few bucks, this is a great deal. Both were a nice way to finish our meal Not a huge menu, but pretty much anyone can find something that they would want to eat from here. It’s a cafeteria, it moves a lot of folks through in a polite manner. Serving staff is friendly if you have any questions, but again, it is a cafeteria, so there is not a lot of server/customer interaction. Checking out and paying is quick and simple, and there is a lot of seating. The seating area is clean and comfortable for what it is. It seems to be very clean, nothing in disrepair.

Surprisingly Delicious & Affordable!
Who knew a furniture store could serve such tasty food? The IKEA Restaurant is one of my favorite hidden gems. The Swedish meatballs are a must—tender, flavorful, and served with that signature lingonberry sauce and creamy mashed potatoes. I also loved the salmon fillet and the plant-based options, which were surprisingly hearty and well-seasoned.
The space is clean, bright, and kid-friendly, with plenty of seating and great views if you sit by the windows. Prices are super reasonable, making it a great spot for a budget-friendly meal while shopping. And don’t skip the dessert Swedish cake? Yes, please.
All in all, IKEA isn’t just about furniture—it’s a full-on food experience. I’d come back just to eat!

The food wasn't worth eating. They said it was cheap, but it was inedible. The pasta was bloated like grass, and there was no sauce, so they just scraped the bottom and served it. The food was insincere

Nice food is relatively affordable, but pops need to be more carbonated.

In the evening they ran out of meatballs that have actual meat and quietly substituted with impossible/plant-based ones. Come on, I’d take salmon if I knew.

This is about the restaurant at the exist, food was bad, hot dog was a joke, fountain sodas watered down or not working. Ice cream tasted weird:

An excellent source of inexpensive, sturdy furniture. One drawback is that I have had to pay people to put the furniture together, but most people are better at following instructions than I
It was alright
Swedish meatballs good as always but unfortunately include vegetables for less meatballs. Also more pricy than I remember
