So if you’re thinking this place is open till 11 like it says, that’s a lie. They close at 10:30.
They said that the dining room closes 11 Well, that’s not the restaurant. Any other restaurant serves you anytime before closing time - you can get served and usually not get kicked out right at closing time. I realize it’s not cool to really hang around or get there right at closing time, but a whole half hour is kind of extreme. Especially for to go orders.
We were very hungry and drove all the way there. We could’ve gone somewhere else, but we chose here and because of that, we couldn’t eat anywhere else because everything truly was closed by that time.
So yeah, very misleading. They are not open till 11. Lies. Won’t try again because that’s just bad business. Sorry

Great hidden gem!
It's not too busy--we usually get a table just walking right in. This last time we came they actually offered us some free shrimp chips to start. Honestly we weren't big fans but hey, free food.
We got an order of egg rolls to share and oh boy, they were fantastic. Cut into easily chopstickable pieces, not too tough, not too soft. Both of us ordered the brisket soup (pho) and wowowow. VERY good. The meat was better quality than most pho places, and the noodle portion was huge. Unlike other Vietnamese places, too, they don't skimp out on the limes they bring to the table. 10/10 for that.
Service was great--we had nothing to complain about but the server still checked on us multiple times. When we first walked in the A/C felt like it was too cold, but it turns out it's perfect for when you're having hot soup. We got our check quickly once we asked for it and were able to pay right at the table.
Overall, top notch place.

I’ve been coming to Lotus Light in Burbank for over three years, and the food consistently meets expectations. It’s a cozy neighborhood spot with a calm, clean interior that makes for a relaxing dining experience. The staff are friendly, though often a bit understaffed, which is understandable for a smaller place. Their vegetarian options are fresh and satisfying, and they’re flexible with substitutions; I had the beef vermicelli with noodles swapped for extra veggies, and it was delicious. If you’re in the area and craving a wholesome, flavorful meal, Lotus Light is definitely worth a visit.

The place is very clean and not overcrowded. The parking was plentiful and easy. The service was pleasant and efficient. Everyone at our party enjoyed the food and drinks. Their appetizers and fried rice were magnificent. The coffee and ice cream were also great. Overall, we had a great experience and definitely will visit again.

Food was not good… We had a vermicelli dish, rice dish, pho with beef broth and with mushroom broth (vegan).
Everything was salty. All it had was salt flavor…..
Not sure what went wrong that day. I added half of my water into my broth, still too salty. Ended up packing my food home so I can reattempt to make it better….
Bump up a star because service was good! Servers were attentive.

I should have figured out this place wasn't the best as the menu had 'pork sandwich' instead of Bahn Mi. And that's exactly what I got, a really crappy pork sandwich.
I had a disappointing experience at Lotus and Light. The first bowl I received was dirty, and the second one was broken on the side, which left me feeling unimpressed with the service. The pho portion was very small, much like the size you’d expect in Vietnam, but it didn’t satisfy me for the price. There were also very limited options available, especially since I arrived early in the morning. Overall, it didn’t meet my expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it for a fulfilling meal.
