After finishing the Warner Bros. Studio Tour, I was craving Italian food, and Novo Café was the perfect choice! It’s one of the closest restaurants just about a 10-minute walk from the studio. We arrived right on time for their happy hour, which starts at 3 PM and offers great food deals.
I ordered the Pesto Pasta, and it was delicious even without any meat, it was full of flavor. Definitely a nice spot to grab a meal after the tour!

I went for my daughter's birthday today service wasn't great waitress forgot to bring my wife her glass of wine and we got charged a slice fee because we brought our own cake from portos they charge us 4$ just to cut the cake we didn't give the waitress a great tip but at least it was something waitress came and confronted my wife and me that why we didn't tip more if we weren't happy with her service my wife said it was ok and if it was mandatory for more tip money she was upset but my daughter forgot her envelope with her birthday Money 200$ cash it was only 30 minutes after we left so we called to see if it was still there they said no and waitress went home already and everything got thrown in the trash im pretty sure the waitress kept it

This is my family’s to-go restaurant in the area. Maybe in the old days, producers came here to chat about movies. But now it’s such a cozy and relaxing spot.
Novo Café is a true neighborhood gem in Toluca Lake! The ambiance is relaxed yet stylish — perfect for everything from casual lunches to dinner dates. The Italian-inspired menu is consistently delicious, with fresh, high-quality ingredients that shine in every dish. Their pasta is always perfectly al dente, the pizzas have that perfect crispy-chewy crust, and the salads are fresh and vibrant.
What really stands out is the service — warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. It’s clear the staff takes pride in creating a great dining experience. The coffee and desserts are also worth mentioning — don’t skip the tiramisu!
Novo Café has that rare mix of comfort, quality, and charm that keeps you coming back. Highly recommend!

We initially planned on eating at another restaurant, but we changed our minds and visited Novo Cafe instead. It was a good, if lucky, choice. The food was great. The menu contains many tempting choices. We ate on the lovely patio. We'll be back.

I was waiting in line to order food and the owner (I think, and I made sure to ask for his name - Massimo) was behind the counter openly harassing one of the employees about her uniform. It looked totally fine to me! It sounded overly harsh and unprofessional - then he sent her home over wearing a jacket... but it was COLD outside! Everyone was wearing a jacket. It seemed really unfair and it made me uncomfortable to see an employee being treated like that, so I will not be back. I don't want to support a business that treats their employees like that.
