This is a nice small airport. I love that the car rental is inside the airport, only a short walk to the counters. Love being greeted by sun on the tarmac (I'm from Seattle, where it's always gray). Love that check in and security is quick, although security appears to open at various times. I checked in at 830 for my 1130 flight. I had to wait until 9 to go through security. The lady that checked my daughter's bag was nice when approaching up about shampoo not being allowed. My only negative is there doesn't appear to be any food or coffee places inside. There was 1 store available for purchases, no soft drinks though.

Because I describe myself as a foodie, coffee-addict, and world traveler #wanderlust, I make sure to fly at least once every two years and post on social media when I do. When I do fly, I could fly out of LAX because tickets are generally cheaper, and I can fly internationally. However, 1. I have no desire to fly internationally, and 2. I LAX is too crowded. Instead I prefer to fly out of the most humble and gentler Burbank Airport, where my parents drop me off at the gate, and I can make a trip up to NorCal within about 3 hours. So glad that Burbank airport exists!

I will not be booking here again. TRAVEL TIME INCREASED FORM 4 HOURS TO 8.5 HOURS. Forced to rebook after missing flight due to extended TSA check. There are 30 TSA present in a SLOW TRAFFIC AIRPORT SECURITY CHECK. There is hardly any travelers for one. This messed up my plans! I was here at 8am! I am not landing until 8pm!!! Seriously!! All personnel were notified of my flight departure time while doing this extended check for awareness. EVERYONE TOOK THEIR ABSOLUTE SLOWEST TIME I COULD'VE MADE MY FLIGHT!!!!!!!!!! I had to drink my pineapple juice mins before coming through the X-rays. Some was on my hands. Was body checked, not once but twice. All the way to my private areas, wearing a skirt and simple top - not even a bra to alarm, jacket with no buttons. No hair pins in. Nothing. Nothing found. Purse & carry on - every pocket swabbed... even my flat iron, my quesadilla, make up bag, and dog leash. Swiped and ran with nothing detected again and again. Took 12 mins. That was the difference ... I RAN to the gate. The plane was gone. THIS IS NOT OKAY. It should not be at travelers expense for TSA to take their grandmas speed to check ANYTHING, due to the small amount of people or activity. There were so many TSA standing with nothing to do, obviously bored and decided for me that I would miss my flight!! I'd rather deal with LAX bustling airport. They understand. NEVER AGAIN. I have never seen so many TSA with nothing to do.

Ok, so not sure how many people checkout reviews for airports but I just wanted to make it known... this is my second favorite airport, only behind Long Beach. It's small, efficient, and less crowded than LAX and if I have to pay a little extra to fly out of here instead of dealing with LAX, I will do so! Follow my example, do the same if you can!

Always the best service, stress free, get to your destination quickly. TSA gets you through quickly and efficiently. The airport is clean and everyone is friendly and customer service is great! This airport is so much better than LAX!!! Southwest Airlines is the best! Let's go!

Such an awful experience with Southwest Airlines! , The policy with Southwest are different from Vegas to Burbank I guess,i flew with my newly adopted toy size Yorkie, I got him as an emotional support dog ,I had no problem with him flying from LV to LAX but in burbank with Southwest airlines it was horrible!!!!!!!!! starting from my first interaction I asked the attendant who was calling the groups to board, What did she say because she had a very thick accent when speaking on the speaker she asked me to back off and sit down i asked her excuse me she looked at me and rolled her eyes and said have f****** seat and I said ma'am Why are you yelling at me I am just asking you a question she was very uneasy and kept putting her hands in my face, I suffer from anxiety and have multiple panic attacks, flying isn't something that i enjoy because it can be a very stressful experience for me.From that experience i was placed in a panic I went to the customer service desk and asked if i can know when i am being called to board I sat down and went to pet my animal the attendant rushing me and says there are no pets on the flight, as i look around I see animals in the carrier boarding. I am confused why i can't bring my pet on the flight if there are other animals, I tell them there was no problem in las vegas they were very friendly took pictures of my dog, they were great in vegas no problem about having my puppy with me, They called the CSS His name was C.SAITER that's what he told me. I wait for about 20 min, He comes up to and says what's your problem I'm like excuse me? He says your trying to get on board without paying for your pet.. i'm like no i'm not this is my emotional support pet which I had not problem in LasVegas I am worried Your attendant is saying there are no pets on the flight and I can't leave my pet. He looks at me and says your acting ridiculous, And your a lair! i don't believe you. I said i'm unsure what the problem is because Your telling me south west doesn't allow pets on this flight. I felt extremely uncomfortable I turned around to relax because I was having a anxiety attack, He attempted to try to turn me around to face him, And my dog fell out of my arms which he weighs 1.5 lbs he's a teacup, he fell on the ground and went to my knees and tried to pick him up because he was twitching and shaking, The CSS looks at him on the ground walks away and says with your actions your not boarding the flight you can leave and go to a different airline, Your not boarding, I'm crying my eyes out because my puppy isn't moving and shaking and panicking because my pet is very hurt, I'm like sir place I have to board He's like no you need to go to a different airline and control your actions your causing a problem and you need to leave. I begged to let me get on the flight as I am crying. Eventually They let me board after I paid a $95 fee once I gave my boarding pass to the attendant she's looked at me and said F*** you and your f****** dog. I realized I couldn't say anything because they were flexing their power, and I didn't want any more problems, Once I got on the flight everyone was starring at me I sat down and they told me I have to place my dog under the seat I said I am, The flight attendant tells me your the one causing the problem your need to shut your mouth and let me do my job. Your a big problem and shouldn't be on this flight. I was shocked... then a woman attendant comes over she proceeded to tell me my dog has to be right under the seat so she jerks the bag under my legs all the way under to the next seat in front of me with my 10 week year old puppy who weighs 1.5 lbs he just fell in the airport, needless to say I took him to the vet and he broke his leg from that fall...They kept an eye on me the whole flight told me I couldn't let my pet out or hold him nothing, I was worried the whole time on the flight because he was crying and I know he was in pain.. I just can't believe how horri

How awesome is Southwest? I love flying out of Bob Hope as it's so easy to park and get thru security vs. LAX. Today my flight was delayed due to fog, southwest changed my connection without me needing to lift a finger. There staff is always friendly and brought water and snacks into the terminal as our wait was longer than anticipated.

It's a great regional/international airport, extremely easy in-n-out whether you're flying out or in, it's all just as simple and painless as possible. They're usually always trying to improve and they have a giant new rental car building and set-up. There's a good selection of restaurants just outside the airport, but walkable if necessary. I do find it funny (and a sad excuse) that they said no one knew where the "Bob Hope" airport was and then they wanted to change the name to "Hollywood" despite that being a completely different city from North Hollywood; They wanted the glamor name that's all. They should've just said it.

Great airport to go through, departing or arriving. Not busy at all, rental cars in walking distance.Do see hotels a few blocks away.

This is the best airport in the Los Angeles metro-plex. It's 1,000x better than LAX, 10x better than Orange County, and better than Long Beach (although Long Beach is pretty nice). When people ask which airport they should fly in/out of (when they have an option) it's Burbank ALL THE WAY. Not even a question. The great things about Burbank are:It's easier to get to. It won't take you an hour and a half to drive into the airport itself (and this is from anywhere in the metro-plex unless you live RIGHT by LAX). Dropping someone off/picking someone up isn't going to stress you out and ruin your day. It's less busy. The lines are shorter. Check in is easier, security is shorter/faster. The terminals aren't super confusing. It's easy to find where you're going. So why only four stars? Well, compared with LAX this place is five stars EASILY, but compared with other airports in there are a couple of things:It's old. Noe, this isn't a HUGE problem, but it does lead to some other issues (to be discussed below). And because it's old, it's just a LITTLE run down. Nothing major by any means, but if you look super closely it's just a LITTLE past its "best if used by date".The departure/arrival loop is poorly laid out. It's just LONG and there are so fee entrances and exits and if you miss your turn you have to go ALL THE WAY around. There's also a crosswalk into the parking garages right before you get to the terminal and it too often stops up traffic.Arrivals and departures are in the same place. Now, this isn't a HUGE issue because the airport isn't THAT crazy busy, but it can lead to some frustrations and not being able to find a place to pull up. This leads to us usually paying the $3 for short term parking when we're picking someone up.Look, there are no MAJOR issues with Burbank. It's EASILY the best airport in the Los Angeles area. But when you compare it with other airports on the country/world it's SLIGHT deficiencies add up to it not being five stars.

One of the dodgest airports but it's quick and easy. Flights are hardly on time and staff are usual unprofessional.

Really cool airport! Deplane onto the actual tarmac like back in the old days. Luggage carousels are outdoors. Completely surrounded by the mountains and hills of Hollywood. Very cool place, and few people compared to LAX!

Burbank is the best airport by far to fly out of. Nothing like walking out on the tarmac to access your flight, old school! I grew up in Burbank, worked here back in high school and used to park on Vineland under the landing strip to watch the planes drift in when there was a side wind (can't do that anymore). Easy parking, access and boarding. You can literally arrive 1/2 hour before your flight and still have no issues boarding. And with the pandemic, this place is a ghost town unfortunately. My old home town, go Bulldogs!

So much better than LAX here. In and out quickly with plenty of parking. Get through security easier. Obviously less bars and restaurants but honesty who cares. You don't have to deal with: 1.) traffic to LAX 2.) long security lines 3.) expensive parking fees 4.) baggage claim much easier, less complicated. If I can get my flights out of here from now on I am only using this as airport in LA area.
