This is my go-to spot for food after a trip. The last thing you want to do when you come home from traveling is cook and this restaurant always hits the spot! Lots of vegetables, large portions, fresh hot green tea and soup with each meal when you eat in. They have lunch and dinner combos, but honestly everything on their menu is awesome. My favorites include orange chicken, szechwan sliced bbq pork, mongolian beef, honey walnut shrimp and the dish I order every single time I go: buddha’s delight. It’s packed with various vegetables in a slightly sweet sauce that delivers the nutrients your body is craving.
They offer take out, but I suggest dining in to get the full experience. The walls are decorated with a mix of artwork and images of their food while a pop station plays in the background. You’ll sometimes find the kids doing homework at one of the tables during the week. They’re sustainability friendly too, so if you’d like them to package something up in your own container, they’re happy to do so. So grateful to have a traditional chinese restaurant that’s run by a family like this in the area.

Sun Moon Garden is a hidden gem in Burbank. I was recommended to try the restaurant. I went in and met Lynn at the front desk. She was friendly and welcoming. I asked her what the most popular plate was and she said “All of them”. Later I found out that she was correct
Sum Moon Garden has been around since 2001. It is a family run business and they have consistent regulars. Every time I go there, the orders are on the table ready to be picked up. There is a constant stream of people coming in and out.
I went with the Kung Pao chicken, fried rice and hot and sour soup. Look at my photos. The Kung pao chicken is delicious. I think that this is the best hot and sour soap that I have ever had. The soap is heavy and full of flavor.
The location is located on a bend and very easy to miss. There is plenty of parking. Pick up orders are ready in 15 minutes.
You will love Sun Moon Garden.

Every time we stay for a night somewhere, we always look for a hole in the wall. This one is it! The food is really good! We have beef broccoli and honey walnut shrimp. They are just perfect! We don’t have to wait long either.

We visited here while staying in Burbank. The beef and broccoli and honey walnut shrimp were amazing. I suggest asking the beef and broccoli a little spicy. The server was very attentive, and we loved the food.

Food wasn’t amazing, but wasn’t bad at all. Service was really great and food came out quick. Price was extremely reasonable.

This little hole-in-the-wall is a hidden gem, in my opinion. I love the flavors, their portions, and their prices! They offer a dinner combination with a main course of your choice from the selected list, eggroll, fried rice, egg soup, and fried crab all for less than 13$! I had the crispy chicken a-la-carte. Definitely try it out for a very good dinner at an HONEST price, service is very friendly too!

I love this place. I can’t remember if I had the orange chicken or the general Tso’s chicken, but it was so good. They’re good at doing that thing where it’s crispy in the outside, but soft on the inside. The pork fried rice was perfect too. All of the prices were reasonable and nothing was too expensive either. Pretty surprising with how expensive it is to eat out these days. I don’t think this is a first date place, but if you and the gang just want to put down a bunch of delicious Chinese for cheap before going out, this is the spot.

Really good flavors in food. The prices here are amazing for the quality and portions. I don't remember paying that low for a full meal in years. Definitely a good place to have lunch or dinner.

I think this place is authentic to the chinese american experience. I've seen some reviews of this place talking about the attitude of the staff and the vibe of the place throwing them off, and clearly the people writing these reviews grew up going to sterile panda expresses. The food here is great, it feels like I'm eating with my grandma again. Growing up in the asian hotspots of socal, all the good places have exactly this vibe. You get what you want, it's good, and it's cheap. I love this place I hope it stays open forever.
