We had the worst service experience here. We waited forever for our food which arrived cold. Hygiene was also a concern. We saw the cashier using the same gloves to ring people up and prepare food. My son found 3 hairs in his chicken wings. Even though we have celiac and appreciate the gluten free aspect very much, we won’t be returning.

You can spend $20 anywhere else but not here. Small portion with poor taste.

Sad to report that this place has gone way downhill. The workers just have no care, urgency, or real want to be here. We have been waiting 25 mins for a Bahn Mi and the kids working/cooking are just joking around.

Tables all dirty, no water available. Sad to see as I loved this place as a GF visitor.

Go to a different one. This one serves half sized portions. Before the person makes your food they ask for a tip. Other locations will serve you a full box, this one must pay a commission to underserve portion sizes.

I have enjoyed the food at Burlingame Asian Box for a while, and I was craving it! Ordered a bowl with shrimp and steak. Unfortunately, both were overcooked, and the steak was tough, almost leather-like. I was missing herbs: cilantro and mint, and the pickled veggies that I believe have been included in the past. The tamarind sauce was unpleasantly salty, and the lime was utterly dry.
I’m hoping they just had a bad night, but at nearly $30 (double protein), I’m not sure I want to take another chance on this place!

Entirely gluten-free kitchen. Counter service primarily. The food is amazing and doesn’t need added sauces. It has a great balance of meat, starch, and veggies, and their pickled vegetables are perfect. Definitely try the sauces: the tamarind is sweet and great with salmon, the peanut sauce is great for the chicken, and the Asian Street Dust goes on everything.

Vegetarian options: All sauces are vegan and GF, except the one fish sauce. Tofu is available as a protein option.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free kitchen

I give this establishment my highest recommendation! Brian was very friendly and patient when he helped me go through all the options on the menu. The food was fresh and flavorful. I appreciated the simplicity of the ambience. You order drinks and food at the counter, which are delivered to you at your table.

The food was good. Dedicated gluten free!! Our daughter is Celiac so that goes a long way. Menu Options were clear if limited. The food wasn't very exciting, but sufficient. Clean, but plastic atmosphere. It's setup like a fast-food place. They don't want you to stay long. The staff seemed distracted and not very interested in the customers, but the food did come fast.

Dietary restrictions: Great option for gluten free, gluten allergies, and Celiac!

The portion isn’t big, but I think it’s fine for a hot summer when your appetite isn’t great. The meal itself was served semi cool, but the chicken itself was tender. However, given how bad inflation is, I think the portion is relatively reasonable and the ingredients they used appear to be fresh.
