Reserved a lunch for three and expected to be served along with other 10 people. Well, once we got there, we were the only three at a Teppan table with a grand view of the Bay, and received service that felt personal and thoughtful. There were plenty of other guests, but we appreciated the thoughtfulness of not just bunching us up in a large group for store efficiency. We usually go to Benihana in Cupertino, but we will consider driving up to Burlingame again just to eat at this restaurant.

Prices went horribly up. It's now an $8 upfee for fried rice!!! The "chef" we had didn't really have a good personality nor was he entertaining, hardly interacted with us and at times seemed a bit rude :(

We celebrated my son‘s birthday and took up two tables. We had chef James and chef Zane, who were amazing. They kept our family entertain, interacted with each other so that both tables felt as one was the best experience that I've had at this location in a long time, very happy we chose to celebrate here. Thank you to them both for making the evening even more special.

One of the best experiences I have ever had at a Benihana. Very packed for a Monday night but the vibe and ambiance were great. It was a little loud but it should be if people are enjoying themselves. Food was great!

While the food was delicious, and the chef and servers were great, we were seated in a walled-in corner where the noise level was deafening. Also, the overhead fan was not working and the smoke coming from yhe cooktop was blinding me. So we were having to put our mouths right up to the ear of the person next to us to be heard, and we left the restaurant smelling like we'd been sitting at a campfire all night.

This Benihana has been getting better and better and you can tell the staff is key! I was speaking to someone on the bench out front when I was waiting and she was wonderful, it ended up being a hostess on break! Phil is awesome, always and Joaquin was a great chef and I am sorry I don't have the servers name especially since he recognized me and was incredible. Awesome team here and great results are the proof!

If you want to be entertained by an excellent chef who cooks a good meal in front of you, if you want to watch him set fire to an onion and flip an egg in to his hat, and attempt to land shrimp tails into his pocket, this is the place for you. If you want a quiet, intimate meal where you can converse with others, go somewhere else. It is noisy, the clanking of knives being banged on metal can be jarring. But they will refrigerate your birthday cake until you are ready for it, and sing a bad birthday song, complete with tambourine, to the birthday folks.

We went for my son's birthday and we've never had any issues until this visit. After our chef left the table, the server was rushing us. We were still eating and he brings out to go boxes and they put the new plates for the next party on our table. We are never coming back again for the amount we paid and the poor service. Do better. Very rude and unprofessional.
