I have enjoyed my Venetian sandwich here at this beautiful and clean gelato and sandwich store, it a very clean, and welcoming place to enjoy small piece of fine Italian cuisine. Also here you can buy Italian groceries if you are long term guest, like us visiting this beautiful town from Canada. Come and enjoy a nice home made Italian food and gelato.

Parking: There is plenty of street parking in the promenade, it is 2hrs free after that pay at the meter should you need more time, area near this store is a shopping and restaurant promenade, safe and clean.

Kid-friendliness: This store will be candy and gelato haven for your kids, family can have fun here.

The gelato was delicious, and the service was quick. I ordered mango, guava, and passionfruit. Each one was incredibly flavorful, and I thought the scoops were generously-sized. Thanks for a great afternoon treat!

EDIT: Added a photo of my 3-scoop gelato. I was so eager to try it out that I ate a couple bites before remembering to take a picture. :)

I have been frequenting this cafe for their geleto for a while now, and usually their service is pretty good. Yesterday I had a bad experience where the server told us we are only allowed to try one flavor before we buy. I asked them if they have a policy that says so, because I walked into the store trying to buy 2-3 pints of ice cream, not a scoop. The server did not seem pleased with my question, and asked what other flavors I wanted to try with a pretty bad attitude. I was quite turned off by the customer service and the attitude and decided to not try any more. Ended up walking away with 2 pints of my usuals as I wasn’t allowed to try any more flavors.

Cafe Stellato has a great selection of icecream and sandwiches. The ingredients are high quality and the service is excellent. It appears to be a family run business. It feels great to support local businesses and receive delicious food.

A Surprise Find on Burlingame Ave: Caffe Stellato
Picture this: I'm cruising down Burlingtown Ave, minding my own business, when suddenly – BAM! – major frozen dessert craving hits. That's when I stumbled upon Caffe Stellato, and boy, am I glad I did. This place is like a little slice of Italy hiding in plain sight!
First things first – the gelato. (Because let's be real, why eat ice cream when you can have gelato?) They've got three whole cases of the stuff! I must've stood there for a good five minutes, just gawking at all the flavors. Eventually, I went for a combo that would make my dentist weep: Very Rocky Road and Triple Fudge Chocolate. And because I live by my friend Bennett's wise words, "No regrets, eat more ice cream," I got it in a cup WITH a cone on top. Thanks for the encouragement, Bennett – you're the real MVP here!
But here's the kicker – while I'm there, happily stuffing my face with this heavenly gelato, I realize there's way more to this place than just frozen treats. The smell of coffee was driving me nuts, and don't even get me started on the pastries. They've got sandwiches, salads, crepes – the works! Oh, and candies too. Because apparently, they're trying to turn us all into kids in a candy store.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm already plotting my next visit. Maybe I'll be all grown-up and get a salad... and then completely undo that healthy choice with a massive crepe. And the visit after that? I'm thinking coffee and pastry date with myself, because why not? And you bet there'll be gelato involved every single time – sorry not sorry, ice cream!
Bottom line: Caffe Stellato isn't just a gelato shop – it's like a treasure chest of yumminess right in the middle of Burlingame. Fair warning though, it might just become your new obsession. Don't say I didn't warn you! And remember, in the immortal words of Bennett: "No regrets, eat more ice cream" – or in this case, gelato!

Great Italian gem in Burlingame! Italian sandwiches and gelato, friendly staff, lots of interesting treats. They have some tables but not alot, so not really a sit-down place but super cute. Looking forward to going back!

Absolutely the worst gelato I've ever had. Extremely artificial and was melted when still in the case. No flavor and killed my stomach. Avoid at all costs.
