The worst pizza I’ve eaten. Extremely overrated place. We ordered two pizzas to go (approximately $40). I understand that it’s their special signature to have “grilled” marks. But it’s impossible to taste any flavor in these pizzas because of it. The burnt dough overpowered everything. Don’t recommend this place.

Pizza Centro is better than many of the other Broadway food options (although unfortunately that is not saying a lot). Their pizza is thin with wonderful sauce and fresh ingredients, but it and most of the menu items I tried were not exactly balanced right. Sometimes it’s hard to get simple things right, and the pizza needed a little more salt. The salad was pleasant although the pears could have been riper, and the dessert was very one note with a cheap lemon flavor. Service was not attentive and the ambiance while cute could stand to have drinks that are in real glasses and added air conditioning (the pizza oven made it quite hot!) One pizza plus a salad was about the right amount of food for two people. But, a hungry person might be able to eat one whole pizza themselves.
I would go back to try more pizza, potentially as carryout, but the friend I ate with felt like it didn’t hold a candle to places like Vesta. If you want a fairly expensive decent fast casual meal without traveling far, I don’t think you’ll be mad at anything here - but also, not likely to be excited.

service is not great. i was given a glass with lipstick on it. the server took it and then instead of giving me a clean glass right away so i could drink some water, he went to help another customer. i was literally sitting across from the area where they keep the glasses and cash register - it would have taken him 30 seconds to replace my glass before ringing up the takeout order. then i saw that my fork had cheese stuck to it. this place seriously needs a new dishwasher. so i thought, well i probably don't even need a fork because it's pizza. turns out i was wrong. the pizza is very tasty and i like thin crust pizza. but centro's crust is so thin it's like a piece of paper and the first slices i picked up fell apart until i figured out how to use my fork like a spatula and then folded the tip in to eat. that said, i'll return for takeout because the pizza is very good even though it fell apart and the sauce is delicious. the margherita pizza could have used more basil though. and honestly if you are given not one but TWO dirty dishes in a restaurant, they should offer a discount or freebie. that part was really gross and i don't recommend dining in.
