The staff was nice, matcha presentation was pretty, and the cafe was cute. It wasn’t the best matcha I’ve had though. It’s good for people starting to drink matcha but bot for people who want a a stronger matcha taster. It was still okay just not my favorite. I got the normal matcha latter 50% sweetness. That was also quite sweet so if you don’t like too much sweetness, I recommend getting the 25% sweetness

Amazing creamy matcha and hojicha lattes and it looks like a good place to meet friends or study or work.

The drinks were absolutely delicious! No complaints on the beverages. However, the 2 young ladies working on 2/14/26 were not so kind and werent focused on the customers. I understand it was a busy day, but they seemed to not care and kept talking to each other vs. really trying to get the drinks done. They also were severely short staffed considering the location/ other locations. Took much longer to get our drinks than we would’ve liked! Also, they ran out of whole milk and we had to pay extra for an alternative even though we didn’t have a choice? When we asked the girls working, they just looked at us and said yeah there’s no other option but to pay more! That was not too fair really.

On the day I purchased my drink, I wanted to share my experience with this tea shop. Firstly, their fruit tea is not what it seems. I ordered passion mango fruit tea, but instead, I received “ICE Tea,” which was essentially a drink filled with ice. It is surprising that when you order and choose “no ice,” you are charged an additional 50 cents. This is the first time I have encountered such a policy. Secondly, I had to wait for my barista to finish talking to his colleague before handing out my drink, which was already prepared and in his hand. While the atmosphere was pleasant, I do not believe I will return to this establishment.

The lines in this place are crazy, online ordering and pick up is better. The matcha is delicious I have tried blueberry, strawberry , mango and sunny side up.

If you don’t like how your drink is made, you’re not allowed to get it remade!

Banana pudding matcha latte was very tasty! Not super visually appealing but I finished it within ten minutes, so what it looks like doesn’t even matter. The cafe itself is very cosy — not much seating, so I could see it getting crowded, but the design feels very open so if you get a chance, seems like a great place to sit and chat or do some work.

Super Yum!
Had the Black Sesame Einspannër w/Oatmilk 25% Sweetness. Perfectly balanced. Looking forward to tasting more in the menu.

Another new tea place on Burlingame Avenue! The mango matcha and hojicha were both very good. There isn’t much seating inside, but we got our drinks to go, so it wasn’t a problem.

My favorite spot for matcha and hojicha in the area! Cere Tea is an aesthetic cafe that serves up matcha, hojicha, and espresso drinks. They cost about $7-8 before tip so it’s a splurge but worth it thanks to the unique menu offerings. I love their sesame hojicha einspanner and have tried their earl grey matcha. The matcha and hojicha is smooth with a good depth of flavor, not watered down or gritty at all. You can tell they use quality ingredients and handcraft their syrups and creams. Their hojicha lattes are a standout for me as it’s not easy to find a good option, even at matcha cafes. So glad Cere Tea opened a location in the Peninsula!
