What a fabulous experience! The menu and food are amazing. We had the linguine with clams and the tortellini with crabmeat but when we saw some of the entrees served to the other diners we made a prominent to comeback. The staff was attentive and the owner made time to talk each table. The food was fresh, expertly prepared and the atmosphere was very romantic, perfect for our anniversary.

The serve staff deserve better. Luis was excellent . I went here because of the reviews. Chef trained at Luce, no way!!! I've been to Luce and the brunch here was simply horrible. How do you mess up eggs, potatoes and steak. Well, apparently you can, everything was greasy including the focaccia bread. Eggs runny, steak covered in a salty sauce. We won't be going back. There are other restaurants in Half Moon Bay much better than here.

The saffron pappardelle, pork chop & mussels are a must order. We shared everything family style and it was perfect for our group. Their cocktails can be made as mocktails - we tried a few and loved the tamarind the best. We were a large group, had a reservation for Mothers Day and still had to wait more than 15+ minutes for our table to be ready. There was another table set up for a large party that remained empty while we were waiting for ours to be ready- so it was a bit interesting how the hostess prioritized the floor. She wasn't the warmest & the first face you see at a resto can really make or break the experience. But luckily our server, food runners and bartenders were exceptional- they turned the whole lunch around for sure!

We stumbled upon this place on a whim - what an unexpected experience! You gotta try it out. From its simple yet welcoming ambiance, super friendly & informative service to the exquisitely flavorful food, it was all superb. And rest assured, the prices are par for the Bay Area. Can't wait to go back and experience more of their varied menu. Highly recommended.

Pricey and not worth it! Server was sullen and brusque. Beet salad and focaccia were tasty. Main dishes were small, expensive, and not what one would expect from a Michelin star chef, as is boasted on the website. Pappardelle was bland and meat was chewy, and the cacio e pepe had a harsh, unpleasant bite to it. We left hungry.
Quick dinner before local theater- our server was attentive to our schedule and other needs. Food was excellent-we loved the arracini and the butter lettuce and pear salad. The pizza was also very good. It was early in the evening and noise level wad quiet. Tables spaced reasonably so really everything was terrific. We will be back

We've been many times, mostly in spurts. Food is always good; some interesting some standard Italian choices. Two of us had the very good pappardelle with braised short ribs and truffle oil. Portions were generous and not obscene. Service is attentive even when busy and never intrusive.

I ordered BUCATINI CACIO AL PEPPE, which was delicious. A special order was also remembered and served impeccably. Our greeting upon arrival, and our running slightly behind scheduled, was welcoming and gracious. We found the atmosphere lovely, the food impeccable and the service friendly and efficient. We were passing through Half Moon Bay looking for a nice place to eat and obviously had many options through simple Google searches. We went to one or two places that did not really have much ambience and stumbled in here. One of the legit best meals of our travels in years. It is very clearly a place that prides itself on immaculate presentation and every ingredient in our 4 person meal was exquisitely prepared. Dungeness omelette, margharita pizza, the best caesar salad with poached egg and a perfect shrimp linguine. Staff was very kind and attentive. This place is a gem.
