We had a wonderful experience at Flights Restaurant in San Francisco! The food was delicious, the service was friendly and prompt, and the atmosphere was great. We went for a large customer dinner and everyone loved it. The quality of the food and the service couldn't be faulted. I would recommend Flights Restaurant to anyone looking for a unique dining experience in San Francisco (especially those who love a restaurant with an aviation vibe).

Great atmosphere, great drinks, great food! Can’t ask for more. The service is attentive but not intrusive and the manager, Albert is superb. Love the ability to taste a platter of drinks and food in their flights menu.

We got our food as it was ready from the kitchen causing some of us to be done eating by the time the last plate was served. The food and drinks were a little underwhelming lacked overall value especially given the price. A flight of tacos and margaritas are going to set you back $50. The atmosphere was very loud not great for conversation, although it was nearly full and a football game was on. The conveyor of flights was cool especially close to SFO. The margarita flights should be shared, the glasses were almost the size of a regular cocktail. I drank them all and oddly was barely tipsy.

From the moment you walk into Flights in Burlingame, the atmosphere grabs your attention. The space is lively and vibrant, with TVs broadcasting sports, energetic music playing in the background, and a beautifully designed bar that’s perfect for a night out. At first glance, it feels like the kind of place where you’d expect great food and drinks to match the upbeat ambiance. Unfortunately, while the drinks lived up to the hype, the food and service left much to be desired.

I ordered the fish and chips, which turned out to be a disappointment. The fish arrived soggy, with the pieces stuck together, suggesting that proper care hadn’t been taken in the preparation. The fries were equally underwhelming—wrinkled and lacking freshness, as if they’d been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. Adding to the frustration, I had to ask for basics like salt, pepper, and malt vinegar, which should have been provided with the dish automatically.

The service experience was another challenge. There appeared to be a significant language barrier with many of the staff, as they primarily spoke in their native dialect and couldn’t effectively communicate with our table. While I appreciate the diversity in the team, having staff who can engage with patrons and understand their needs is a critical part of the dining experience. Unfortunately, this breakdown in communication made the evening even more frustrating.

The saving grace of the evening was the drinks. Both the mule flight and the martini flight were excellent—creative, well-balanced, and visually appealing. They showcased the kind of attention to detail I had hoped to see across the entire menu.

Overall, I left disappointed. Based on the glowing pictures and reviews I’d seen beforehand, I walked in with high expectations, but the food and service didn’t meet the mark. I gave Flights 2 stars, and those are owed entirely to the quality of the drinks. My advice to the management: ensure that the kitchen prioritizes freshness and proper preparation, and make sure the staff is equipped to communicate effectively with guests. With some adjustments, Flights could live up to its potential as a fun, vibrant spot for food and drinks. Until then, I’ll be hesitant to return.

Excellent place to grab a little bit of a lot of things. It's in the name.

Clever decor to marry airplanes and memorabilia with small samples of similar foods/drinks.

I've been there twice now on two different trips and both times it was very slow. Service was great and food was quality. Not sure why there was no one there. Maybe better marketing because people are missing out on this place.

Neat concept. Flights of courses are good. Flights of drinks even better. Outdoor seating is good option to enjoy the sunshine. Parking is challenging.

We came here after visiting Washington Park with 6 people on a Sunday afternoon. It was hot and we wanted something small and quick to eat and drink while the niners game was on. We originally wanted to sit at the bar but since we had a larger group we opted to sit at a table. We got a round of shots and a Prickly Pear Margarita that was really good. We got the signature French fries flight (truffle, rosemary garlic, bbq) served with herb ranch, chipotle mayo, and ketchup. We also got the Chicken Wing flight (Buffalo, salt n pepper, honey habanero) that came with 9 total wings. And we got a chicken fettuccine Alfredo. It was a good little snack for all of us, service was great. There was air conditioning, but there was a quick black out during the game but it came on pretty quickly! There’s street parking and some lots nearby.

Nice looking place but some plates need some improvement. I asked for salad with protein so they were ok to add “pulled pork” on top but I got 4 hard rubber-like chewy pork. It looks like they were from leftover and threw in microwave to warm up. They ended up like that, not juicy, hard to pull apart. It could do better than that.

When you walk in you might not notice the full size plane hanging from the ceiling. Pretty cool. This place is known for its drink flights. You get 4 categories to choose from and each flight consists of 3 drinks. I choose the old fashion and it was good for me so I ordered another lol. Later we ordered more of the other selections. Service is nice and fast to help. Had a great time. I say checknitvout.
