My family and I came here to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday. I was looking forward to showing them a good yakitori spot. The pacing of the food was decent. I didn't think too much of it because I figured they must have been busy in the main room. However they didn't give us our bowl of rice until we asked in the middle of our meal. And at the end, we had to ask for our last skewer, to which the waitress told us we had all of our dishes. Luckily, she brought back the menu we filled out, which is when I'm assuming she noticed that she didn't send that order to the kitchen. She told us that our last skewer was actually on the grill and would be out in 5 mins. What a lie that was because we waited soo long just for our last skewer. We wanted to order more food, but did not think the wait would be worth it — we'd rather leave hungry. My parents rarely go out to eat, so I'm really disappointed that I couldn't show my them a good time tonight. If this reservation were just for me and my partner, we would have definitely been more vocal about our terrible service. We didn't want to cause any more stress on my parents for the night. What a sad birthday night for my mom! The automatic gratuity was definitely not deserved. I won't be coming back here. There's a yakitori spot closer to home with food that is just as good, and even better service.
This restaurant is close to SFO and opens late. That was the reason we chose to go there after our delayed flight arrived at SFO around 9pm. Service was very slow. Food was very average. Most items were overcooked and lukewarm upon arrival at our table. For the price we paid I expected better food quality and service. I would rather go to a fast food restaurant and save money the next time I arrive late at SFO.
Food is Bland now it used to be good, years ago. Don't know what happened but there's no flavor in their Yakitori order Tapas dishes. It was very disappointed with the taste. Guess I won't be coming back anymore.
Made reservation for 7:15 and was seated at 8. It took awhile to get our order started and the attentiveness of the service wasn't great. We had to ask for our check multiple times and they charged us incorrectly. The cleanliness of the seating area was disappointing with food scrapes on the floor. Last time we'll be going here.
Excellent experience, food & service. Highly recommend, I know well definitely return
New chef? One chef? Who knows. But while the waitstaff were as exuberant and accommodating as ever, it took forever to get our food and when the yakitori did arrive, almost every stick was overcooked.
Great ambience, good, and service! The skewered are great quality and cooked to great consistency. The negima with wasabi and spicy wagyu were my favorites
Great success ????????????

Service is mediocre and food is 20% good and 80% poor quality. DO NOT GET THE LOBSTER DISHES.

very unique concept of dining, in a dark atmosphere almost enclosed with glass kinda feels like a art exhibit, most areas of seating require a removal of shoes but quite interesting experience. ramen is alright

Great atmosphere! The taste was all good and there was even the advantage of staying up late.

Walked in at 9pm one night without a reservation. The restaurant is very dark and dimly lit. Atmosphere is thick glass walls and horigotatsu or sunken floors, which were nice. Take your shoes off before entering.
We ordered about 10 dishes. Four came out and then the other six came out a few minutes later. I wish they would consider giving us two dishes at a time every five minutes, rather than bringing everything all at once. The path to the toilet is dark, but barrier free. Toilet locks and doors are broken and not in the best condition.
Skewers are about $4-$12 per stick, average is about $6. Yakionigiri (frozen?冷凍食品?) was $5!!
Food is ordinary, price with drinks is about $80-100 per person, which I found to be extremely expensive. Spent about $200 for 2 including tip.

Been a regular for years, I recently moved so couldn't visit as often as I would like to, but at check in the server still remembers me by name and greeted me with a warm welcome. They brought back some of my favorites as added another happy hour lately. Food are still great and I'll continue going back for their specials
