Baristas were unpleasant only paid attention to each other and not greeting customers. Never been to this location, but def not a fan. Coffee was good though.

Not too bad to start a day with coffee from this place. The tiramisu tastes good. But the only downside is the registrar lady who took out order, i don’t know if she is having a bad day or it just her personality not to smile and her tone seems too strong and annoyed. We had to asked some questions regarding their new item but she sounds not open to explain stuff and end up with an annoyed tone. But our coffee and croissant taste just perfectly fine.

I was in from out of town and always search for a local coffee spot. Philz was amazing! Being my first time and not know what to order, the cashier was patient and took the time to explain the options and to let me in on her favorites. I settled on the tiramisu iced latte. It is close to the top of one of the best coffees that I've ever had. ❤️

Whenever we’re in town we ALWAYS find the nearest Philz. We can count on the coffee to be delicious, the staff to be friendly and efficient, and the almond croissants never disappoint!

This is the only coffee shop location in the San Francisco Bay Area that sells beans through Too Good To Go, other coffee shops have beans listed on TGTG but there are no ratings, which means they haven't tried selling any.

Selling beans on TGTG ensures their drip coffee is always made with fresh beans, rather than using old or expired stock.

In contrast, during my time working at their competitor Peet's Coffee, the company policy required us to use expired beans for drip coffee rather than repurposing them for employees, donating them, or discarding them.

The pastries both coffee chains sell on Too Good To Go is another example of why Philz is better. Philz sells one day old pastries while Peet's sells TWO day old pastries.

Not to mention that Philz coffee is significantly better than Peet's.

Look at how beautiful this cup of coffee is! I’ve been coming to Philz coffee since I was a kid back in the original location in the mission district! Now living in the peninsula I can’t help but grab a coffee from the Burlingame location almost 7 days a week yes 7 days 🫣 no regrets!! The staff in Burlingame is always so friendly and I look forward to saying hi to them all to start my morning! Medium iced oatmeal cookie light almond milk light honey! Order a Julie’s Ultimate and in the notes ask for oatmeal cookie! Thank me later!! Thanks Philz Burlingame for making my mornings great!

The worst service experience ever. We went to the store and saw nobody was at the reception. We don’t know what happened so we went to the bar and asked how we should order.

Everything was normal and polite and then the lady just came and yelled at me saying it was totally not ok going to interrupt them when they are making coffee. I was like, ???? I swear I was really polite and normal.

Can someone told me what tradition it is not to say anything when they are making coffee? Even just like “may I ask how to order a coffee please?”
