Went here thinking it would be different and tasty food. What a disappointment. When I entered the restaurant there was no host. The host was in the back on her cell phone. I seated myself. I ordered the beef empanadas. The empanadas were deep fried but tasted like raw dough. Then I ordered the cerviche. It did not have much taste. I requested some lemons to give more flavor. After that, I had the short ribs and paella. The short ribs lacked flavor and needed salt. The paella had little flavor. The waitress seldom came back to check on the food or additional drinks. The cost was very expensive for the food quality. I will not return.

My waiter spilled red wine on me, and he didn't offer any cleaning fee for my clothing or discount.Very poor service. The food was very disappointing, too. Ceviche didn't have any flavor.Never coming back here. Don't recommend this place.

Super friendly and accommodating team, excellent wine and tapas selections and a great atmosphere. Seemed like a mix of locals and visitors. Cool neighborhood Italian vibe but upscale service. Will definitely be visiting again.

Great lunch special menu. It was noisy because there were two large tables filled. Had been there before when only a couple of tables were occupied and it was pleasant. Food and service excellent. Will return and hope it is not so noisy.

Regular Spanish tapas. It's pretty spendy but the service is impeccable. Excellent selection of wines. Parking can be difficult in the area..

We came for the $20 lunch special and tried the grilled Pulpo too. Food was decent and a value for the cost. Service was attentive and this was a cute little spot with indoor/outdoor seating.

Really wanted tapas and really wanted to love this place but upon arrival I was already disappointed. The restaurant packed their guests like sardines. We barely squeezed into our seats. My friend who was over 6’ looked very uncomfortable the entire time. The food came out quickly and they were okay, nothing special. The oysters could have been fresher. Each piece had a lot of shell mixed with the flesh and were relatively fishy. The server offered to bring hot sauce to the table but never did. The other tapas are decent. Their burgers lacked a lot of flavor.Overall it’s not what I expected. The atmosphere was awful and the food wasn’t good enough to compensate for the noise level and lack of elbow room. I would not recommend this place for a night out.

We were in town for Valentine's Day so I made a reservation here. I knew it would be busy, which it was, but the service was still great. We were taken care of quickly, our waters were always full (which is important to me), the wine was great and the food was even better. All the wait staff were friendly, and helpful. I would definitely recommend Pulpo if you are in the area!

Solid place for light and robust bites. We got their caesar (don't bother asking for anchovies because they don't have them :-( as well as chorizo flatbread, their pasta special of the day: crab ravioli in a red pepper sauce; and seared king salmon with mashed potatoes and veggies; all topped off by my all time favorite cake: tres leches. This cake is the benchmark and de facto standard for which all tres leches cakes should be judged. Not too sweet with that awful saccharine flavor, no instead the natural sweetness was coaxed out by the three milk, a wedge of cake sitting atop a creamy lustful sauce, with yet another and of cream frosting on top, slathered with berries, all fresh tasting. It could've been thrice the portion, and we would've scarfed it down. The ravioli was stuffed with fresh seafood in a vodka cream sauce, and though it was a tad on the heavy side, we tasted the seafood as fresh. The salmon also fresh and it was not medium, as promised, but cooked all the way through, so too well done for my taste, but still, it was flaky and tender and moist. The potatoes and bountiful vegetables, like zucchini and broccoli hit the spot. The caesar disappointing, more like dry lettuce leaves and not worth ordering. The interior is warm yet clean and spartan, full of wine racks, with sort of an open kitchen and outside sidewalk seating with heaters. Charming little place with a reasonable price point and friendly attentive service.
