I'm really disappointed to see the quality of the bakery decline over the last year and a half to two years, especially since there hasn't been any new management. It was a big letdown when they messed up the kids' birthday cake, even though we ordered it a week in advance. Thankfully, the kids aren't too picky, but they weren't thrilled about the pink cake.My biggest complaint is that they've stopped adding ample amounts of gooey cheese to their focaccias and jalapeno bagels. Now, they just sprinkle on a few bits, and everything falls off while eating. The price used to justify the generous cheese portions they used, which is consistent with other Safeways in the area. It's frustrating to live so close to a Safeway in Burlingame but have to drive all the way to Millbrae or the far end of San Mateo just to get decent cheese bagels.Come on, guys, bring back the cheese! I don't know who dislikes cheese so much, but it's a staple for many. Just follow the recipe that every other Safeway seems to follow. I believe in you!

Even though I live in Millbrae, I always make the “extra” 3 miles to go to THIS Safeway! 😃❤️ Friendly Staff, Clean, Great Produce Selection and it has a Starbucks! ☕️😊❤️
Ineffective management of traffic flow, cleanliness, crowds etc. during Corona Virus --
Besides it being infested by panicked Americans dealing with Corona Virus fears this is our go to Safeway! They always are well stocked, store is pretty clean for the most part. Wish they had sanitizer wipes for shopping carts and baskets and love the additional parking because let’s face it.... they always are busy!! If you can gear towards later evening shopping a lot less people! Also props to the late night stock crew for dealing with the madness, especially now! Hope this gets back to you all and puts a little smirk on your face! CON: why do I have to bag my own groceries at every Safeway now?!?!? Did the union terminate bagger positions or store managers trying to save on the budget?? Let’s get it together people!!
This store could improve by answering their phones and getting their queues under control. This could be the worst Safeway I've ever been to in terms of these two things. Everyone is very friendly, but this store needs professional management.
Park upstairs...And stay away from the crowd looking in the small front lot
This Safeway is filthy - yich
