One of the best sushi/sashimi place in Bay Area. Their Ankomo is of best quality and best value. Also don’t miss out their gorgeous sashimi. Their sesame creme brûlée is also a must-order for me each time when I visit. Just off the Burlingame Ave, very convenient.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant, and I visit it every time I’m in the area.
The prices are reasonable, so I always recommend it to others.
This time, I ordered the Kyoto Combo, I think — a set meal that comes with both sashimi and tempura.
The tempura was crispy and delicious, and the sashimi was so fresh with no fishy smell at all — it was truly excellent!
The person I went with loved it too.
I’ll definitely stop by again the next time I’m nearby.

We had two chirashi set and was pretty disappointed. Sashimi was very fresh but the portion size is really small for 40 and 49 bucks. We were barely full afterwards we bought a sandwich somewhere else lol

Calm, quiet, peaceful atmosphere, perfect service, reasonably priced high quality sushi, and short wait times. The food was amazing, pretty much the best quality sushi you can possibly find in this entire area. Absolutely no complaints, and no reasons to complain. Five stars across the board.

The quality of the fish is high. A nice neighborhood gem and they also serve lunch!
Loose shrimp! $400 for a fish head and they ran out of wine?!?! The place was dead and for good reason.

Stayed at Marriott by the airport and was recommended by the concierge. It did not disappoint. I’ve had sushi all over the place, including Japan, and this is among the best I’ve had. I highly recommend if you’re in the area.

We've been many times over the years since there's no wait compared to the San Mateo sushi places. There are many items that are solid and sometimes a few have been off (spoiled?). It's always overpriced for what you're getting.
The server was very rude to our kids this time. They got shushed for essentially giggling at a level that others were conversing. (My kids have absolutely thrown tantrums before... this wasn't one of them)
This time the lobster tempura (which has been fine in previous visits) was off. We told them that it smelled like ammonium. (Which means that it's likely spoiled). They simply refried it... note this is a place that charges $165 for omakase (that tastes a lot worse than the comparable san mateo sushi places) so I expect better quality and service.
Parking: Less crowded part of burlingame Ave so a bit easier to park
Kid-friendliness: It's not

The sushi was very good, but it still did not justify the high price. Two miso soups and 14 pieces of sushi came to $60 and we were still hungry.

This is my and my husband’s favorite sushi restaurant! This is a must-visit restaurant when friends or family visit. This is a restaurant recognized by everyone! It's a little pricey (but not terribly expensive), but it's really worth it⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really recommend this place! In particular, salmon belly and eel sushi melt as soon as you put them in your mouth. Be sure to order it haha. The place itself is small, but the sushi quality is so good that we go often haha.
This is my go-to sushi place in the bay area! I really recommend this place because once you put the sushi into your mouth.. it melts. Especially I recommend unagi(eel) sushi and salmon belly sushi! The price is a little bit high, but reasonable price - because it is definitely worth it. Also all the employees are so kind and nice here :)
