Had an amazing turkey sandwich there today. Complete with stuffing and cranberry. Like a post thanksgiving feast!

Best sandwich around, bread is perfect, quality meats and cheeses, fast, exceptional value. Sam's special is the fave, but the meatball is something else !

I've been going yo Sam Sandwich since 1982 when it was at the smaller old location. There something special about the ingredients that masked their sandwiches so unique.

Sam’s has been around for a very long time. They won’t be around forever, so go get yourself a great sandwich while you can. Parking can be tricky, but it’s worth a couple extra minutes for one of these sandwiches.

This place is supurb!!! The salami with garlic spread on dutch crunch with cheddar is the best ever!!!

Lived in B-game 25years, first time at Sam's.

This place is amazing and I was truly surprised by the quality of sandwich I got from this little hole in the wall sandwich shoppe. Definitely stop by and order the meatball sub or the Sam special you won't be disappointed

One of the best deli's on the peninsula. I can't describe how just a simple sandwich has do much flavor. Also there original baguette are so good. I've heard they are closing soon and of that's soon it's a shame because it wasn't just an ordinary delicatessen it brought something different. Not just like everyone of them out there. I've been going here for about 25 years..like back when they were at their original location. PLEASE don't close down!!!!! Rethink that decision please because I know many people who love your sandwiches and travel from a few cities down just to come get one.

Please don't closeup, I haven't been going here as long as some people (‘96) but I have to say you'll be missed

Love Sam's! Fresh soft bread and big well seasoned sandwiches. This place is a gem!

Small shop and could use some fixing up, not much slection or vegatarians. The review make this sound alike the best place, so was a little disappointed

So my sister and I come down to San Mateo to spend the weekend with our Uncle about once a month, and a few month's back we had seen Sam's Italian Sandwich shop, well being Italian we were finally able to catch it open, and we decided on the Sam's special and the Meatball sub. We brought them home to share with our Uncle and the Sam's special was absolutely delicious. But what a disappointment our meatball sandwich was, when I went to cut it into 3 pieces I was shocked when I cut the end and there was 3 1/2" of empty bread. So basically 1 of us was SOL!! A cup of soup would be good with that useless hunk of bread though. The food did taste absolutely delicious, but I feel we were ripped off. I will try it again next time we come down, and hope its not like that again.
